OK folks, here’s my current experience with the factory light bar that came with my foundation beast. Got my beast June 2024, took about eight months before I got my light bar that came with my beast. first time they put the light bar on top of the windshield with terrible adhesive and of course it fell off during a 70 mile an hour highway trip. Second light bar was put on with windshield adhesive and it is still on and passed my hundred mile an hour test, it’s been on for about a year now. Tesla sent out a recall notice. I’m assuming to everyone with an OEM Light Bar, which of course I got, which describes how they’re putting the light bar on with two metal brackets on each end and bolt it to the top. So I scheduled a service appointment after I got my recall notice and specifically asked them what they were gonna do, but the person I talked to couldn’t tell me. They did have to replace a couple of bolts so I took it in anyway and when I got there what they told me is for light bars that use the second set of windshield adhesive they can’t put the metal brackets on because they have to remove the light bar and they don’t do that anymore because when they tried to remove the light bar on some other recalls, they ended up destroying the windshield so they are not putting on the metal brackets on any light bar that is still on the truck with the new windshield adhesive which is fine for me, at least cause, I don’t want them screwing up my windshield just for some metal brackets. My light bar is still attached to the windshield tight as a drum and it better stay that way.
