You know, if they put a couple big ass magnets on the inside upper edge of the top of the windshield right under the headliner above the visors that mated with a couple big ass magnets actually fused to the light bar with bolts instead of caulk or whatever fancy name they give that, that would ensure that there was pressure applied between the glass and lightbar for the duration of the “curing” and also make it so people wouldn’t write horror stories about the bar almost killing other motorists on the freeway.
If the glue failed, the bar would wiggle but probably not fly off. People mount starlinks like that all the time.
I feel like at $2500 or so a pop, it’s not unreasonable to provide a redundancy for this genius mounting method. Especially with the amount of PR it has gotten.
