This light definitely has no practical on road use… i can see how it would be useful off road, but it primarily throws light really high and far. It doesnt add much that the headlights and high beams dont already do. Do any of the stock light shows incorporate the light bar?
Don’t know about the light shows but I find the ditch lights pretty useful on gravel. It’s like you widen your headlight beam a fair amount. Agree about the floods. Not super useful unless you’re trying to stop an animal in its tracks or something. This light definitely has no practical on road use… i can see how it would be useful off road, but it primarily throws light really high and far. Received same email but then they bailed a few days before the install citing needing a different / updated primer.I finally got the email to schedule my install. Sounds like some of the service centers still don't have the right installation technique down. I'm not sure it will get any better if I wait though. I wish they would redesign it to mount inside like the original.
It sounds like some people are having better luck and had good installs.
May want to check that. I got mine installed last month or so as well. No automatic car washes, sadly no cold weather. How long after installation did you drive off with the truck? New recommendation is to let the application sit for 24hrs. The V3,which you probably have has a quick disconnect a few inches inside the appliqué. There is no reason why they won’t replace the one that detached. I have had mine little over a month and still holding well.
You could look at it as a fun quirky idiosyncrasy. Add it to the list. Right after wipers.I’m sorry but I cannot help but chuckle at Tesla and this stupid light bar situation. For all the technology and innovation they are capable of, they are also capable of the cheapest, most idiotic things imaginable.
I would be livid if it flew off driving down the road let alone if it hit another vehicle.
There has been a few who were able to pick theirs up without issue. That’s the exception but not the rule. You might try and see how it goes. Let us know if you were successful.I just got the notice mine is ready. I don't want it, can I just get the parts and sell it or put the credit towards something else (just asking if anyone has tried this approach)?
I don’t blame you. Sell it!I just got the notice mine is ready. I don't want it, can I just get the parts and sell it or put the credit towards something else (just asking if anyone has tried this approach)?
