Hello, has anyone experienced PCS failure after replacement? I am concerned about the reliability of the truck and honestly supercharging degrades de battery more so I am concerned about the long term viability of this vehicle.

They are on part revision G now, there’s a way to see what revision is n your build through Tesla and there’s a link to that on another PCS post. But there was a guy on his 3rd. Mines only been replaced once at 72k miles. Supercharging isn’t bad for the battery’s, leaving them at 100% or below 20 for extended time does. I used to do ride share with mine, it’s what paid for it. I’d charge daily to 100% and then supercharge it back to 100 to finish my driving day getting home with about 30%. I still get 288 on a full charge not much loss after all, new I think it was 308, can’t remember.

Thank you for the update!
My replacement is scheduled for June 11th. I will wait and give it time but I don’t want to keep supercharging all the time.

Enable low power mode in the charging menu it’s helps with the vampire drain, it disables sentry and stuff.

uber let me, I had to call them and they manually added my CT. I would clear 50-70k working 6 months. Haven't done any ride share with them sense October last year tho. I moved up to Arkansas and I just don’t think there is that kind of potential here being in the sticks. Rideshare is good in bigger city’s or where there is good vacationers. But there was another guy on here that did Lyft, he fared pretty well also. It’s good for side income on your off days or in a pinch. It’s not sustainable as robotaxi takes over tho. Also if the area get flooded with drivers then everyone is fighting to get rides. Tips is where you make your money. Keep it spotless and smelling good, provide a good service and they want you to be there personal driver while on vacation.

Thanks I drove my model 3 with Uber in 2019 and 2020, Covid ended that for me. Thinking about it again as I retire from my full time gig next month.....But it sounds like I need to call Uber and beg to add the CT, or just use my Y ;-)

hahah yea I stated at the end of covid with my 3P, then when I got the truck car needed tires and service was 3 weeks out, started using the CTCB and the ride quality was unmatched way more comfortable in the truck. Operating costs higher but so was the tips. But if was to do it again and I had the 3P now, I’d use that as the truck is less efficient, and nobody else cares for your property, they will slam doors etc etc etc. also if you itemize tax time, you can write off that FSD sub so it’s replaceable if ever in a total out.
