The noise cancelling foam had become detached from my rear driver tire. Im not sure when, but its been a long time and Its been a real pain in the ass to have tesla even be interested in helping me diagnose it or seem like they are concerned at all.
Symptoms were a repeated vibration in my back of the seat, above 42mph. It gets really extreme the faster you went, to the point of the screen slightly wiggling at like 90+. And constant loss of PSI, not by much but over a week it could fall 3-5psi
Anyways I finally got it into a local tire shop and they confirmed what I had asked and self diagnosed to tesla with them not caring much.
After that report to SC, tesla informed me that a replacement tire would be billed to me and I was within my right(s) to ask pirelli to cover the warranty.
So I emailed Pirelli but I have a feeling they will try to find a way out of liability, especially since its recommended to replace all four tires if your going to add a new single one. I doubt they will cover that cost and I don't feel I should have to pay that especially since the tire is under warranty.
Im not to keen on just driving with one tire without the foam, science and common sense would say that it would alter the tires performance slightly, and lead to premature wear or mechanical stresses on the drive unit.
