Do you need to test drive the Cybertruck before buying, or will you buy it sight unseen?

Who will buy the Cybertruck as it becomes available, and who will need to test drive it to be sure?

Sitting is one thing, and I understand.

Driving. If you’ve driven a Tesla, and driven a full-size truck, use your illusion and go for it. You don’t need to drive over to know. It’s going to be just as amazing as the rest of the models. Let’s get on with it!

Although only 24 people voted at the time of this post, the current poll # is interesting... 30% wont buy without a test drive? Perhaps then if this is extrapolated out to the 500k pre orders, does this me that the 70%’ers are essentially at the front of the line?

I personally will buy sight unseen, so perhaps this is all wishful thinking, and bad math, lol.

i would commit to it but need to see one in person and sit in it before i stroke that check. I have honestly never driven a Tesla at all. I have only ridden in 1 model X.

That shouldn't be a problem. Riding in a Tesla is cool, but driving one is exhilarating. Should be easy enough to do at any Tesla sales center

This thread needed a bump for 2023.
I don't think there will be many people getting delivery before they get a chance to drive it at a Tesla center.

Production is still a way off for most of us.

Others have said that there's a precedent for Tesla not having demo vehicles available before the Model Y deliveries. The trucks/production time required for 236 US Tesla stores would also push back customer deliveries further.

I do hope you're right though.

Even if they only offer 50 test trucks nationally, I'd be willing to get on a 60-day waiting list before buying one sight unseen.
