ROFL. 16 year old driving a 100k+, 19 foot long 3 ton vehicle. I won’t even let my own kids drive it. Here for the replies. Good luck finding someone.
Give it a break, not all 16-year-olds are immature, irresponsible brats! He sounds very responsible.

kudos to the kid for trying... I have kids his age, and they aren't allowed to drive the Teslas. It's not personal, teenagers can be responsible, safe drivers. It's still a risk management issue... if there is a need to take a risk, then it has to be justified. To the OP, you need to change this up from being a random kid asking someone to take on risk to engaging a known person you have a relationship with who feels justified in taking on the risk.
When one needs something and has no relationship, money can serve as the motivation

Tesla will be having test drive opportunities but not scheduled yet. If all you want is a short term drive, try renting for 1 hour.

I see a bunch for rents on Turo within the Austin, TX area for around $450+ per day.

Until you get an actual LICENSE, I doubt anyone is going to want to let you 'borrow' their Cybertruck (or any other car for that matter).

IF you were old enough AND had your 'actual' license, you could RENT one from TURO probably, but most rental cars require you to be 25 years old (for insurance purposes) and those that do allow younger drivers will still require you to be either 18 or 21 and some of those might require you to have an 'adult' over 25 with you when you are driving it... Again, that's pretty much the rule with ALL car/truck rentals...

But to just let you 'borrow' one? Yeah, I don't see that happening... Too high of liability issues... Especially as you are a 'minor'...

Although you might be a super safe driver, it is the other people on the road that I would be concerned with. Check out some of the threads on this site about some accidents. My biggest concern would be liability, as others have stated. If you do get into an accident, I can't even imagine what my insurance company would tell me if a minor was driving my CT.

There is a bit of a learning curve driving the Cybertruck, especially with steer-by-wire, and if you aren't used to it, then you could overcorrect while avoiding a situation and it could cause a bad day.

P.S. I am very amazed that you have driven that many high-end cars at 16. You must know some people. I don't think anyone even allows test drives for 16 year olds...liability issues again, especially for a 6-figure vehicle.
