PowerShare impossible in a condo?

I would imagine it’s up to the condo owner (bill payer) and HOA off sorts. if you have power in the condo then it is possible technically, however my be cost prohibiting due to the complexity of the project.

I already have the charger installed. Given this, what would be some differences in incremental work/costs between a condo and a house?

Why would it be impossible? What's more complex about it?

It's not impossible, but I suspect extremely rare.
Let's take it from an easier viewpoint, it's hard to get any chargers at a condo. There's a few that have shared garage buildings with a few pedestals in them.
There's a lot of horror stories of people installing a charger, only to be found out by the Condo Association and made to rip it out. Some have even used the stupid Insurance won't let us do it because the car will catch on fire.

If your panel/access is in a suitable location,
If you can get HOA approval,
If you can get all the permits,
then sure, go for it.

But I suspect that all the planets and moons line up in a single line happens more often.

It would highly depend upon the condo. Is your power in the garage connected to your unit directly, isolated? Then possibly.

Is your power shared or not isolated in the garage? Then it would be difficult to impossible.

I've lived in both.

Power in multi-unit buildings are usually supplied like:

  1. Grid
    • Common Garage
    • Trunk
      • Unit 1
      • Unit 2
      • Unit 3
      • etc
  2. Grid
    • Commons
    • Trunk
      • Unit 1
        • Private Garage
      • Unit 2
        • Private Garage
      • Unit 3
        • Private Garage
      • etc
  3. Grid
    • Private Garage
      • Unit 1
    • Private Garage
      • Unit 2
    • Private Garage
      • Unit 3
    • etc

One building I lived in had the private garages on a common, another had a single 20a branch to the shared garage from each unit to the private space in the garage. Others I've looked at the garages were part of the base floor of the unit, and so would totally be easy to convert as they were basically houses.

So in this list, 3 would be yes, you probably can. 2 would be maybe. 1 would be almost certainly not. If or where there's a trunk can really complicate matters.
