Had the electrician over for a callback to verify the low voltage signal wire. Tried running a new one outside the conduit and still having issues.

basically the truck doesn’t see the home, and there seems to be an issue with the gateway-UWC connection reporting “unable to read data”

Removing the wall connector through the Tesla one app and adding it back is fine, the gateway is able to detect it through the signal wire.

so far Tesla phone support hasn’t been able to figure it out. Escalated to tier 2.

Any ideas? Have been in communication with the installer and they’re going to let Qmerit know. So far this sucks and I know it’s on Tesla and not the installer.

Anyone know what number I can call? Had mine installed 4.5 weeks ago and still not activated. When I last spoke with Tesla at the 3 week mark they said I had to wait for their engineers to add my VIN to the database or some BS answer like that.

It does not state if Qmerit coordinated your install; if so I would call them.

Yes qmerit coordinated it. The installer said they would reach out to Qmerit to fill them in, but I’m also going to call them on Monday. Before calling Tesla again.

Might not be the issues, but RS485 is supposed to use twisted pair cable.

You may be right, but this type of wire is correct for this installation. Similar to what Tesla uses in their install guide.
