Understood, I believe consistent with my comment - the existing power cutoff, whatever that is, for the existing solar, would need to be eliminated, with the Gateway 3 taking over that job - so it isn't just adding Gateway to make it happen, requires reconfiguration? What's missing in that diagram is the current grid switch that turns off solar when the grid is down. I may have said it in a confused way, pardon my relative lack of expertise on this topic.
There is no separate power cutoff for the solar nor does the Gateway control the solar.
When the solar inverter sees a valid grid (~240V ~60 Hz), it outputs power. When Powershare is active, the Cybertruck generates the grid waveform.

The questioner has existing solar and wanted to know about adding bidirectional charging with gateway and no powerwall. He must have some sort of existing grid disconnect for his current stanalone solar installation. That will need to change to do what he asked, correct?

The existing system would have an emergency/ maintenance disconnect on the solar AC and DC feeds. That stays the same once the GW 3V is placed between the Cybertruck+solar+UWC and the grid.
GW does then disconnect solar from grid when power goes out.

Hey guys. If I don't have powerwall backup but have non tesla solar panels can I get a 3v gateway and have it work as a backup from my truck?
GW 3V + truck + UWC+ 3rd party UL1741 solar = daytime recharging backup system (of course, without truck the solar won't output, unless it's an islanding type).

It's been a pretty good week with both the light bar being sold in the store and ASS coming to the cybertruck. How long do we think the wait is for this? My guess is within 30 days.

Looks like they have new automations on the Tesla website. At least I think they are new anyway. Don't recall seeing them before or at least in that color scheme.

Asked for the latest info when I finished up some tech support on my powerwalls with Tesla.

Tesla powerwall support handed me a big nothing sandwich on the powershare question - here it is:

"
I'm so sorry it has taken longer than normal to get back to you. I know how valuable your time is, and understand the need to get answers to your questions.

I completely understand the urgency having reliable power for your well during fire season is absolutely critical for your safety and access to water.
Unfortunately, PowerShare for Cybertruck with Powerwall systems is not yet enabled. The feature requires a software update across multiple components, and Tesla has not released a timeline for when it will become available."

Man, feel we are going to get bamboozled on this date again like 2024/2025.... Or worse, an admission that hardware can't support it for some at least after all as is
