Does this align with industry standard?

Film G/G UPPF

Cost : $6k

There are multiple spots where
SS shows through at edges/corners. Maybe like 10 total. Also,
most spots are about .5-1mm. Otherwise looks nice just don’t know what my expectations should be. Thanks.

Saw this too. I know its usually not perfect and I don’t want to complain if theres no reason to complain.

I'm not a professional but the first 3 definitely don't look good imo and I'd bring it up to them tbh. The 3rd one is a joke.

Sometimes the wrap develops some issues like peeling shortly after install. The installer should correct as needed.

What can be done to repair? Is there anything other than removing and replacing the whole piece of PPF?

This would mean basically redoing almost the entire job. As almost every large panel has one edge/corner that looks like this. That is why I am looking for other wrap installers to let me know if this is below standard.
I think they usually replace the defective panel. I do not think there is a “repair.”

I don’t want ti nitpick and bring it up if it falls within industry standards.

My wrap has none of the issues that you have. Maybe someone else can speak to what is “industry standard.” If I saw something I didn’t like, I would ask about it.

What would you recommend I do? From a professional standpoint.

Based on the pictures I'd say the biggest issue the shop had is that they have a poor cut template (which is 99% of templates out there) because the edges don't protrude much making it super hard to wrap. If you noticed in the video I posted, our wrap (that I personally made from scratch using my CT) wraps a lot more around the edges which essentially eliminates that risk.
With that said, when the cut template is not good, there are a few things that can be done:
1. For the places where the edge lifts up, it can be glued.
2. For the places where the steel is showing - if the issue is with the cut template, just about the only thing that can be done is to stretch the PPF, which is a bit risky post-install but still might work out. The way I'd do it is this - lift up the PPF from the area where the steel is showing about 3" on each side, then warm up with a heat gun to make the PPF more stretchable, then gently stretch and wrap around again. This is safer during the initial install, because once you warm up the PPF and start stretching it might break...during the initial install you have the whole length of the PPF to stretch which puts less pressure distributed through bigger surface, as opposed to a 3x3' or so square area. The other risk with stretching post install is that depending on the glue, luck and what not, if the glue layer breaks, you will see weird glue lines under the PPF post stretching.

Ultimately, the shop that did the wrap should take care of these issues to your satisfaction. Be that through fixing or reinstalling the panels that they can't fix, so my recommendation is to contact the shop and kindly ask them to address these issues, because if you try to fix them yourself (assuming no PPF experience) the risk of making it worse is significant, and then the shop will likely refuse to fix it too.

After a thorough second look it seems that the installer cut the wrap at the edge corners in order to bend it thus leaving a small bald spot (.5-1mm) at almost every edge corner. Anyone heard of this before?
