I feel Tesla is being super cautious on their marking effort - they could just do a 0.99% rate plus a perk such as free upgrade or super charging. I have been waiting since they introduced the AWD + 7500 qualification, and hoping they would throw in another upgrade such as cyber wheel or supercharging transfer (my MY17 X already has free SC). That has never happened and Tesla starts this new leasing incentive again which I think would last at least a month. I pulled trigger last week and went for a new Foundation AWD which comes with free SC, it was 10k off. There were only 2 foundation AWD that were new in Boston area. At this point I would just upload all my paperworks and take delivery next week. I do not feel like waiting any longer the price would drop further, and by end of Q2 I may still be waiting for a better deal... By the way, free SC transfer invitation has not happened for quite a while. The last time I got an offer for free SC transfer was early 2024. Tesla has not extended that offer since then, and it may not apply to CT, perhaps due to powersharing feature? Not sure why but that could have triggered my purchase earlier.

I agree SC transfer is unlikely and I’m feeling more pessimistic about FSD transfer too, I think Tesla is digging their heels in to avoid further margin deterioration but it just doesn’t make sense to me unless the interest rate improves again and/or FSD transfer happens, if it doesn’t well then I’ll just keep my money and forget about it for a couple years and see what happens.

My post didn’t age well, already announced FSD transfer. Let’s bring back 1.99% or better Tesla!

There has been speculation that we will get a better financing deal based on what has been done in China. Model 3 has 0% for 60mo now in North America. I feel like something is coming for the CT but they might be waiting a little bit since they just brought in the lease deal which I don't think will do anything for them.

Agreed, I don’t think it makes sense for them to pull all the lever at once. Better to pull one at a time and see where it gets them. I’m holding but I’ll bite with transfer of my FSD and 1.99% or better.

Tesla can take the hit.

Rivian was $Thousands in the hole for every truck they sold and they recovered.

Quantity, not quality!

Well, you just got the FSD Transfer. And now the Model 3 has "0% APR or $0 Due at Signing available for well-qualified buyers". Getting closer.
Open the order floodgates! Another 1.99% financing rate (worth around $7-8k on Cybertrucks), FSD transfer or free upgrade (interior color or Core to Cyber wheels) with paid FSD. I predict these will significantly increase sales!

If they don't, they have pretty much run out of demand levers other than maybe conquest cash to trade in your Rivian/Lightning/GMC, etc., or trade in your Tesla.

I'd rather have the Core wheels and save money and buy wheels I really like instead. Atomic Wheels has some nice fully forged wheels for Teslas for a great price.

Any ideas on other incentives they might run instead of financing? I'm thinking possibly free supercharging for all remaining 2024 inventory.

I did some math and doing a lease buyout I would still come out ~$4k ahead financing after with Navy Federal at 4.79% vs 0% financing from Tesla if they end up offering that. I'm just hesitant on the lease buyout not working for some reason. If they did end up offering free supercharging for all 2024 inventory that would be nice to have but I wouldn't benefit dramatically from it.

I think free supercharging is on the table for all but they also are ending that soon for S and X so they may move away from it. In general I think that’s a good thing to move away from to prevent supercharger overcrowding but also because most people just won’t benefit. I spent less that $5 on supercharging this year, it’s way more time effective to just charge at home.

Got this text from Tesla today. They are really trying to sell the Model Y right now. Looks like it is getting a financing deal, probably matching the Model 3 at 0% for 60mo. I told them I was interested a CT, not a Model Y and that I was waiting for that APR deal. Unfortunately they didn't mention anything about the CT and just asked if I would be interested the Model Y at the lower interest rate.

I told them I was waiting on two things, FSD transfer and promo APR again. When FSD transfer hit they kept texting and offering a 48 hr demo drive so I took them up on it this evening and it just makes me want it more. They really need to get people behind the wheel! Regardless I’m standing my ground and expect promo APR any day now.

I haven't been offered the 48hr demo drive. I specifically asked for it and was told they don't do that which I know is false.

Yeah definitely false, they offered it up without me asking. I’ve owned Teslas for years now and if I’ve learned anything it’s that every Tesla employee has a different answer and often we seem to know more.
