Dual Motor for sure. Beast is not worth the "1 second" premium.

But ouch that Foundation series is sure a premium....

Also note dual lockers on the DM will probably be better off road, but Beast torque vectoring better on road.

I got to contemplating this range extender and realized for the same money the choice is a 301 mile Beast for $119k or a 470 mile Dual for $115k...

I do not want to repost it, it's the same as in the other threads.

No, I don't work for Elon, but I am a long-time Tesla owner (owned 5 Teslas so far, currently owning 1).
We’ll have to feel a little incredulous about the FL fact given the other emails we’ve seen have said explicitly that it’s limited to TX/CA

Confirmed they are going to reservation holders that are NOT employees and not previous customers.
I think he was trying to figure out if being an employee had something to do with the FL part specifically

one has 1/3 more bed volume, however, ~900lb more payload, and … perhaps … a bit better handling/braking

Exactly. This invite is the only exception to California and Texas I have seen. And SpaceX has a presence there, so was just checking.

shhhh I am trying to make myself feel better about not getting the three-headed monster.
Well, your AWD will have all those things and more (payload), if you decide to not complete on the range extender

I would have pulled the finger on the deposit too for the ER, if only to buy myself some time to think on it

Well, I even got the financing as a Florida resident, but no delivery date yet. If they offer me to pick it up at the Gigafactory, I would not mind that at all.

Yes, I did not put down the deposit on the extender yet. I will cross that bridge next year. It is very nice to know it is an available option to bump the truck to 470 miles anytime in the future if we want to.

The Cyberbeast is fastest! great for Baja off roading, but only has FRONT locking differentials

the Dual Motor has the FRONT and REAR locking differentials.

do you need a rear locking diff if you can digitally control wheelspin on each rear wheel?
