Raising / lowering suspension to rotate tires or other inspections or repairs?

Just paid $60 to rotate at SC, worth every penny.

You do know Discount tires will do it for $20 if you didn’t buy the tires from them and if you ask them real nicely, they will do it for free?

My local Discount tire shop told me they will do it for free because I have purchased from them before on my ICE trucks and they said they know I will buy a set for my Ct when the time comes. They are right.

Skip's Tire will rotate (and patch) for free. No purchase necessary. Definitely made me a convert.

But I don't know how many locations they have ^-^ They're all over the south bay...

That's wishful thinking on someone's behalf. Kind of like the port of Los Angeles. It's one of the largest man made ports; it's not one of the five natural deepwater ports on the US west coast.

Yeah, just call them and tell them you plan to buy a new set when it’s time. Most will do it. At worst case it’s $15-$20.

I cross-rotated my CT tires this way. That is, after loosening the lug nuts a bit, I raised the truck to 17" ground clearance, and put it in Jack Mode. I then raised each wheel off the floor with a hydraulic jack and inserted a jack stand. With the truck resting on the stand, the tire was only a fraction of an inch off the garage floor. With the truck up on four stands, I took the wheels off and rotated them. There's nothing particularly unsafe about doing this if you have appropriately rated stands and jack. The problem for me was doing the actual rotation. Those wheels weigh 95 lbs each. Lifting and aligning a wheel onto the studs was a challenge for me, plus the whole process takes time. I'll pay someone to rotate the tires in the future.

Ok time out ! Throw another coat of mud on that a quick sand $50 paint a flat screen on the wall and you always have a reason to say “babe I have to go check the tire pressure on the CT” and it’s secretly a man cave right under her nose ?

Then the garage qualifies as living space and the property taxes will go up.?
