Man, I just don’t get it. I’ve tried using that link 4 times now & no joy. I copied my VIN from the app & pasted it into the search box, but the search button itself is dead. WTH?
After you type or paste in your VIN and before you move your cursor out of that field hit ENTER. No intuitive and it took me a while before I accidentally "entered" the data.

I just hope these damn things last for 2 million miles like I originally had hoped for. I'm doing Lyft in mine so lmao yea I'm an idiot (but I get paid $25 an hour doing this on the side)

Why no service until January?
Probably because it's considered a low risk, low priority, potential defect. Tesla is just being pro-active here to reduce the chance that owners will experience an actual failure. In all likelihood, many of the replaced units would probably never fail. Tesla is using an abundance of caution to reduce actual failures to as near zero as they can.

I don’t know if any of you have looked at the service manual but they essentially take the entire truck apart in order to reach these inverters.
Ha-ha, no, they don't take nearly the entire truck apart to reach the inverters. The drivetrains drop out from underneath. They don't even need to drop the battery.

What are you talking about?

I wouldn't count on 2 million miles on the drivetrain without major replacements, more like 1 million. If you thrash it hard enough, it might be closer to 600,000. Only time will tell for sure, but they are designed to go the distance without any service.

Dropped mine off for service today for the recall. Service notes say they will replace front and rear inverters. AWD Cybertruck, VIN around 1900. Took delivery in March. Supposed to get it back Friday.

Update-2: My CT was done today, so I am happy with the turnaround. I went in Monday morning and returned Tuesday evening. Both front and rear driver inverters were replaced. It was odd that the rear inverter was replaced a month after it was replaced. Personally, I think the service center just replaced it just in case it was a new part.

totally agree

driving a Cybertruck as a Lyft all said and done you are earning less than minimum wage.

A better way to utilize Cybertruck is to do contract hauling and package delivery.

uber is working on adding Cybertruck to their package delivery service.
This can earn you $60+ per hour

Best Of luck!

It did increase my insurance premiums by a few hundred dollars annually, and I get a hell of a tax writeoff sooner rather than later due to accelerated depreciation for it being a heavy vehicle. I'm hoping to make more per hour working the Nashville Airport area but A) am waiting for my cargo dividers and B) I just started doing this learning the ropes and am currently making at least $1 per mile on average.

At this point, I'm betting on the longevity of the truck because I need more income, and taxes seem to work out to where $25 (or whatever I make) is near tax free.

Fyi I am doing this purely part-time 35+ hours a week (sorry if im all over the place - I worked until 1a doing Lyft and am spent).
