Man you are just wrong. My friends went out last week. They scheduled him for 30 days out. Not rushed part. No loaner. Others have reported the same. You are simply uninformed.
Your friend is very unlucky i guess.

Please link all the others who have failed wiper motors and are 30+ days out from a fix, I'd like to be informed.

Read this very thread. One guy has been waiting since February. Info is there if you care to look before speaking about it.

Guy waiting since Feb does not have a failure, but a minor annoyance with movement at high speed in the parked position.

So by my count we have your friend, and two people in the threads jf64k linked, who waited less than 30 days for a fix, one only waited a few days extra before taking delivery. ?‍♂

I think you may be giving yourself the runaround. :D :D

If the parts are not available then the parts are not available. ?‍♂
If no safety issue with the wiper then it's probably not worth worrying about with the wiper motor to be replaced in the coming months.

I did ask my svc center and they also said no parts available yet. My wiper and "Sail applique"are fine, so i'm just going to wait until Tesla sends me a notice to schedule my recall fix.
oh man my wiper is a ghost at 65mph, it moves left to right about 2 inches intermittently, its in the first 500 units. its a mess on scary long drives.

its ok, perhaps you were slow in reading class... lol.
it Is a failure. and if you want to consider product recall #2 you can thank me, because i've been the biggest advocate in the space on the issue. Same recurring problem on the CT for almost 6 months now. 4 attempts at fixing from SC's and no luck. You'd think a 100k car would come with a little more ease on completion.

The problem is the parts ARE available. They are just using them in the new trucks. They should not be able to put a wiper motor in a new truck until they have sufficient stock to fix the already paid for trucks.
take a bow. well said

lol, negative. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Again, if a wiper motor fails, you open a service req and Tesla expedites one to your local svc center. Worst case, they provide a loaner while the part comes in.
just a rookie here lol

Is your movement different than what is described in the owners manual?

“The blade may also move slightly based on vehicle speed to make Cybertruck more aerodynamic.”

100% false. my delivery was delayed 1 week but they fixed the wiper motor and Sail recall. they wouldn't allow me to take delivery until the recall was fixed since it was announced before my original delivery.

My data is the official recall. Are you saying they would recall all of the trucks even though there is no issue with the wiper motor? Or can we agree that they recalled 11k trucks because they see an issue?
Recall paperwork gives an estimated 2% failure rate on 11,668 units, so 233 are expected to have an issue. Problem is they can't trace which 233 and so must replace them all.

FYI I went to the dealership yesterday because I had not gotten an email or txt. for recall even though my vin showed on the DOT list. I asked if I needed to schedule an appointment since I had not gotten any notice from Tesla and they said the notice on their system said "That owners only need to schedule if there is a failure " I haven't had any issues but only tested the wiper once at delivery. I'm in the desert so no rain yet.

I totally agree with this statement!!!
my delivery was initially scheduled mid June right as the recall was getting ready to go through. I have owned and followed Tesla for many years, in such I told all my friends and family no fear I will have it by end of June as Tesla always wants to make the quarter. I was so right fixed and delivered June 27. You can read about all the deliveries that took place by June 30th. That said I am so glad I have the truck , but I believe they could have easily used those motors to recall all the early trucks, and delayed us a couple weeks, and I absolutely would have been fine with it. I really hope you guys get it fixed shortly and understand your frustration. I love the truck
