I was planning on visiting family in center city Philadelphia this weekend and to go see an MLS game. Has anyone been near the city recently? Any hate, my other family that live in NYC say absolutely do not bring the truck into the nyc or park it over night unless you want it to get vandalized. I’d love to hear peoples experience in Philly or if you know a safe place to park it. I don’t know if it’s as bad as NYC.

You live near there?
Not anymore. I went to med school there. Did my training there. My inlaws still live across the bridge in NJ. I try and avoid Philly as much as I can. Worse now than back when I lived there.

.My question was more about the amount of CT hate. I’m ok with the city, I was just wondering if some owners in the forum live near or in the city and notice a lot of hate/anger or since it’s a city with maybe more trucks people don’t care.

Most people don't care one way or the other. The media amplifies (and arguable distorts) things a lot these days.

I'm in and around the Philly burbs regularly and there are enough Cybertrucks where no one cares. If you pay close enough attention you may catch a glare, but you'll probably find more senty footage of people taking selfies with your truck than people attempting to vandalize it.

That said, I go in and out of NYC and Philly regularly, if I'm driving I'm putting it in a lot.

I have been to Philly a few times. Center city, by the museums, fish town, old city. Kind of all over. Zero issues. Lots of people just walking up looking at the truck.

However, I have heard of people getting vandalized in Philly. So you're taking some risk.

Best to park in a garage or on less traveled side streets. Less people seeing it lowers the odds.

If you drive a CT, you should have a $100-$250 deductable, so go wherever you like and don't worry so much.

Philly has a great transit system (SEPTA), so park in a more friendly suburb and take the train into center city. The train will probably cost less than center city parking.

This should really be the final answer. Park anywhere on the Main Line and you'll be fine.

Even if you garage park, you'll pay a surcharge due to the size of the Cybertruck.

Live in Delco and have driven into the city 50 times give or take and have had Zero issues. Yeah I get a couple reactions here and there but haven’t had any attempts at vandalism. Lots of Sentry clips of people taking selfies but no real hate so to speak. Even met a couple other CT owners down at Genos. My take is……………. It really doesn’t matter where you are, there is going to be a nut job no matter where you go.
I ran into a local homeless guy and had him stand near the car a few weeks back when the crazies were out of control. Gave him $20.00 in the beginning and gave him another $20.00 when I returned. Bought him a couple steaks, soda and fries for him while he waited. He ended up being a pretty decent guy who was just down on his luck. We talked about the truck for 20 minutes when I got back.
