Anyone put a remote thermometer in the frunk? Curious what the frunk temp gets to on 100+ degree days. Planning on storing tools including portable tool batteries in the frunk.

In general, batteries should never be stored in any vehicle parked in the sun. The extreme temperatures will negatively impact the life of the batteries.

Put the batteries on the floor, underneath the seats and keep cabin overtemp prot on. Anywhere else, they will get too hot. I wouldn't even put a Li-ion auxiliary battery in the frunk either only a lead acid due to high temps.

- Don't leave a lith-ion anywhere the sun can get directly to it, especially thru the windshield glass.

- Don't keep 20lbs of propane strapped to the passenger seat for the entire summer.

Other than that, not many places in/on the truck that are going to be problematic in real world day to day usage.

There's a few million Tesla's on the road with lith-ion LV/MV batteries. They're all stored under the hood, just behind that plastic frunk liner. There's also a few million RVs/campers/trailers with propane tanks mounted naked on the tongue year round directly exposed to the sun... neither of these is, as far as I'm aware, exploding left and right. ;)

I actually did this today. Stood the tank and kiddie cornered it against the bed wall and the divider. Used bunjee cords through the handle to make a criss cross, hooked right into the divider and the l track/d ring. Didnt move an inch

A milk crate corrals a propane tank nicely and is easily secured. If you happen, cough cough, to have a milk crate.
