Anyone have evidence that Tesla is using the same castings to make the Dual and Tri, SR and LR options? It would seem that the castings may eventually be the bottleneck if they truly only have 2, 9000 ton casting machines. So, I was curious if anyone knows. My guess is that they will try to design and use the same casting for efficiency but it wouldn't be too outlandish to think they have multiple molds that they could switch out for different castings.

Given the cost of the tooling and machines it would be a design requirement to use the same castings for all CTs. I also think these castings could be used for a Van. There are auxiliary castings bolted onto the rear casting for sail mount points and another for the tailgate.
