Because they aren't advertising for the cybertruck. They don't care if people order them now, they have plenty of orders. But they are hoping it sells people on their other vehicles, to hold them over until they can actually get a cybertruck. I got a model Y to see if I could deal with the tesla ecosystem in anticipation of the truck. I imagine many others have similar stories.

I'd much rather see Sandy jump the line than any celeb. The big downside with celebs getting them early is if any of them have problems there will be a crap load of negative press.

For real, it is about time. Tired of seeing all these YouTubers and accessory vendors breaking it down well before he gets his. I hope the teardown is very detailed and informative.

When my day comes I hope I get a sign like that. I went over to the local showroom last week and every car had a sign inside with the name of the new owner on it. I was very impressed. This goes much further, but I do not think that one person should merit special treatment over others. I know that special treatment of influencers is Elon's way but I don't have to like it.
