There is lots of context that goes into this, like presence of electric space heating/cooling, water heating, well pump, etc. But let's run the numbers. Say it's 3 days.

123kWh * 80% = 94.2kWh

94.2kWh / 72h = 1.4kW

one 60W equivalent LED bulb is about 7W. So that's an equivalent consumption of running 200 (TWO HUNDRED) light bulbs for 72 hours straight. Where is the part where you're being super careful ? :D
Fridge, AC, modem, routers, etc. are all sucking power whether in use or not. When asked for an estimate of 'how long can you run' then I tend towards conservatism. If it's really hot (or really cold) then it will be less depending on HVAC usage/temp settings. You can certainly run longer, 100+kwh is a good amound of power to have on hand.

That said, I have another place with an 18kw natural gas generator with automatic transfer switch. Old house, insulation isn't great, drains a lot of power. In that case I can charge the truck while on generator if I want to.

Fridges don't draw a significant amount power continuously - a typical modern fridge will burn maybe 2kWh per day, which is less than 100W draw on average. Routers/modems are typically 5-7W, unless you've got Starlink which will pull 70W or so. Yes, it's easy to burn through a massive amount of power running electric heating or cooling, but in the context of emergency power it should be called out that high draw loads should not factor into the runtime unless they're critical loads (like the water pump).

Bought my CT here in Manitoba, in December. I have had dozens and dozens of vehicles. High end and junk. I currently own 14 and even own a Delorean and an Amphicar right now. This futuristic son of a gun is right up there. Build quality is good. Interior is dead quiet. Everything works and functions as it should. I'm a retired reconstructionist, and I can say that it will keep me alive in just about every type of crash, (if I'm smart enough to wear a seatbelt---of course I do). The technology is mind blowing. With FSD, I don't drive any more. Just eat cheezies and drink coke. I don't street race anymore, but one turbo BMW owner wouldn't give up, so We did the 20kph to 160kph out on the 4 lane highway. On launch I bet he thought his car stalled. Ha. Beat him by a mile. Anyway, if you are even slightly thinking of buying one---do it! It's awesome.

It's not the best built by a long shot. Let's be honest.
It probably depends on your experience and what is important to you regarding build quality. For the things I notice and care about, it comfortably exceeds the build quality of the S, 3, X, Y of my friends, Turo rentals, and the hundreds of ICE vehicles friends and family have owned. Is there a vehicle with smaller and more perfect door gaps - maybe, but that's way down my list. :)

You missed one that many people don't know and are surprised to discover:
8) It's actually a truck
Yep, I have had many people come up to me as I'm loading stuff and exclaim in surprise that there was actually a truck bed beneath the tonneau.
Absolutely! Most of the time, I give the nickel tour of the truck, and people are blown away that it is a truck, not an SUV with an oversized trunk.

In my experience, it is the best built. YMMV
Agreed. I came from a ford raptor to CT, prior to that was a super duty…the CT has been the best vehicle I think I have ever owned. I’ve had it 13mo now, 28k miles. Towing 10klb tractors, hog hunting, 3klb loads in bed doing 100mph in Texas 105 heat on middle of nowhere FM roads….it has been simply outstanding.

Your note about pre-abs / disc brakes is good analogy re drive by wire. It is revolutionary. Even with the Mickey Thompson’s & spacers I am running on it now. If no other vehicle comes out with the same then the CT will be the only vehicle I buy again, ever. Similar to you, I nearly wrecked my 2022 Bronco twice b/c I forgot I needed to turn the wheel like 2-3 times lol. Bronco is just sitting in driveway now rotting away lol. Ironically, it is such a pleasure and so easy to drive I rarely use the FSD.

Keep sharing the love brother, there are thousands of us other proud owners out here feeling the same as you.

maybe the cleaning need is environmentally dependent? In NJ we get snow, salt and muck but I'm sure you have it far worse in Buffalo. I've seen zero corrosion thus far on the stainless after nearly a year.
Again, the same here. I have seen zero rust or other issues. Minimal snow here in Tx but lots of rain through winters, but no rust spots or other at all. I got one of those unlimited drive through Carwash deals for like $20mo and take it through that mofo like 3-4times a week haha. I think they hate me. So freaking easy though and not a worry at all with the brushes or chems on the stainless. Must of run it through that thing like 150 times last 13mo.

I agree with everything but efficiency. Mine is terrible. But I also drive it like a race car and it goes 0-60 in 2.6 seconds which most people also dont know and I love it.
Hahaha…same here! My efficiency sucks (I think…I never owned ev before) but I drive like 100mph everywhere on open Tx highways. My 6.4 raptor got like 10mpg doing same so it sucked as well. But I didn’t by this thing for efficiency, I bought it b/c it is the first truck I haven’t been able to run into the ground yet. I think I average like 550-600wh a mile lol. ?

I have never seen anyone mention of my favorite features. The slanted windshield means bugs fly over the truck instead of hitting the windshield. Lots of bugs on the frunk cover, but that's a good trade-off.
That's a great one and it never occurred to me! Thanks for that!

Is the missing slat a foundation series issue? Should non foundation buyers get this fixed also?
There’s a different thread for this but it’s not just FS issue and yes you should get it fixed. I actually finally have my parts in today so dropping mine off after 5-1/2 months of long wait.

Another fact..

The lack of Simple Lane Keep with AutoPilot is sub-standard and a bit appalling.

All in an effort to sell FSD to the customers..
Have you had the "precision lens cleaning" service? This was a recall and it fixed the problem for me.
