I recently bought our 2nd cyber beast.

My wife used to drive a Model X Plaid. Once she drove my CT, she immediately decided she needed one.

Voilà, we bought our 2nd one. Probably the only house in our town with a duo (we live in California hahaha).

There's no other car/truck that compares to the CT. None.

Depends on your needs. Do your research and also go drive a Rivian, Silverado EV, Sierra EV, Lightning, and maybe a Hummer EV....and a CT. All of them have their pros and cons.

The amount of technology, features, smooth ride, best handling, etc. will tell you. I've driven a few of the others and they handle like boats compared to my DM CT. Had it since August 2024. Only experienced a cracked windshield and it was covered by Tesla.

Just drove from my house to pick up my child from her job. The CT pulled out of my driveway and drove me to her job and parked in a parking spot all by its self. I'm not getting that with those other vehicles even if it's not perfect but it gets better by the day. Just my .02 cents

...and it fits in my garage.

I've been on the edge for like a year now.
I always go from 100% yes to then thinking to myself "my commute is only 2 miles each way so what's the point of even having a nice car" and back.
I think once I do pull the trigger though I won't regret it.

Naturally I'm a bit nervous, the first ct I ever saw in public up close had a malfunction with the back left door. It could only open from the app because the buttons broke. What about garage parking? Is that even a thing with CT? What about range? I'm not interested in towing so I'll skip that. But I like truck stuff like having a bed. I love how the CT has good room for a carseat which is another priority. Just makes me nervous about all the issues. But now that I am in this chat, I feel better about it.
I measured my garage, moved some stuff around, and I can park in it and still open my frunk and tailgate. Helped to also put tape where my front camera could see it to help me park perfectly. I do watch my side mirrors when backing out though. Minor issues with mine in my first year, all fixed by service. Range is perfect for me, never had an issue, but I'm also not towing anything. If you drive under 3 hours a day on average and charge to 80% overnight, you'll be more than fine.

I like the tennis ball trick. Park in the perfect spot then hang a tennis ball just barely touching your windshield. When you go to park again just reapproximate the tennis ball and windshield. Oldie but a goodie.

Range issues, mechanical issues. Reliability issues, and things that get in the way of daily use.
- Range issues? The predicted was 318 I think but by calculation it seems more like 350.
- Mechanical issues? I had wind noise around 70 mph and Tesla fixed it in 5 minutes.
- Reliability issues? My AWD has never been undrivable and the wiper I used to whine about was swapped out for what it was supposed to be (apparently mine was bad from the get go) and it works great now.
- things that get in the way of daily use? I don’t even know what this means.

Personally, I don't like having a ball hanging from the ceiling of my garage. I just aim for the black tape on the camera and get it to the bottom center of the screen. Helps with centering. Thank goodness for the front camera!

I work from home and barely drive. But when I do, I love it.

I think it is the luck of the draw. I've been to the shop a few times. I have an earlier VIN. Have had it over a year now. Most of the issues were minor annoyances. I did have a problem with my power conversion system and Tesla replaced that. It took a week to get the part but they gave me a loaner for the time. I have an AWD and I've read that that is the way to go overall since you get some money savings and it is still plenty fast (for most people). I know two others with this truck one has a beast the other an AWD and neither of them have had any issues. Don't believe the FUD. If something fails Tesla will fix it. Lemon laws protect us and if things fail over and over Tesla will buy the truck back and you can get another one. I was on the fence when I got the email to order... I'm super happy I didn't let the Internet trolls prevent me from going through with the purchase. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

Oh I wish my wife wanted one. I'd buy a Beast and give her the AWD so she gets the car with more range.
