I want to keep this question as simple as possible. I love teslas, I drive a model y daily and love it. I have tested the awd ct and the trip motor cb and loved both. my question is, are the cubertrucks really embedded with all of these problems? or is it luck of the draw on which one you get? thanks.
Buy it. Don't get caught up listening to trolls. I've put 10,000 kms on mine. No issues and it is a fantastic vehicle to own.

Naturally I'm a bit nervous, the first ct I ever saw in public up close had a malfunction with the back left door. It could only open from the app because the buttons broke. What about garage parking? Is that even a thing with CT? What about range? I'm not interested in towing so I'll skip that. But I like truck stuff like having a bed. I love how the CT has good room for a carseat which is another priority. Just makes me nervous about all the issues. But now that I am in this chat, I feel better about it.
I traded in my X after 4 years and 102k miles and can say, after over a year and 22k of driving the CT, it is the best vehicle I’ve ever driven (I’ve had trucks, Range Rovers, BMWs, Ford, Volvo and every vehicle Toyota makes). The CT does all the truck (and off road Jeep) stuff I need (I don’t tow much). The steer-by-wire and rear wheel steering make easy to drive and park. I park my CT in a standard two car garage, next to the wife’s Model 3. Just check the depth of your garage.

If you can afford it then buy it. It’s a blast. I’ve had mine for a year and I can’t imagine driving anything else. Maybe the new Y?

I am planning on a CT soon, before hurricane season. the idea of having to drive an ICE truck in evacuation congestion is something I'm not embracing. (My Y on FSD has me spoiled). here is my referral code to help us both: https://ts.la/charles16969. thanks

I've been on the edge for like a year now.
I always go from 100% yes to then thinking to myself "my commute is only 2 miles each way so what's the point of even having a nice car" and back.
I think once I do pull the trigger though I won't regret it.

Never had a problem with mine in over a year. If you can afford a vehicle in this price range, you will not regret it.

The Squircle has spoiled me. I will not even look at another vehicle now. It’s got me by the ballz.

I picked up my CB on the last day of June 2024. The next morning, FSD wasn’t yet turned on the CT, we drove 700 miles to Chipley, Florida. We had zero problems, learned a lot about the vehicle and met a lot of people in awe. Since then, D.C., Memphis and other cities. With over 15K miles and now with FSD, I love this truck and find excuses for a roadtrip. No range anxiety and smarter with every update. My big issue is improper left turning radius. It’s often to close to cars or curbs. It has only run over the median once, but to close …anxiety and disappointment set in. So if it looks to challenging I take over. All I can add is… Drive That Beast!

We just got a new Model Y this week and if it had SBW it would be a difficult choice for some.

Don’t buy unless you need a truck. It is not a car
Bingo.

I specifically wanted a truck. I use the bed often. I go off-roading.

If the Cybertruck didn’t exist, I wouldn’t buy some other Tesla. I like Tesla, but for my lifestyle, I want a truck, and if not for the CT I’d buy some other truck.

If a truck meets your needs, it’s a great one.
