Actually I have found the “best” rear view camera display is when you swipe the navigation screen all the way to the right and then just have the computer traffic animation full screen. This gives a larger rear view display right in the middle. This might be the best default view and really could be the “permanent” placement (even when the navigation screen is displayed)
Right, I usually drive like that myself and just look at what vehicles does it show to my sides and to the read, but it kind of implies that I have to rely on the vehicle properly sensing its surroundings. I’m not totally comfortable with that yet. The system still misinterprets small trailers with semies and sometime flickers a vehicle in and out of the view. So, theoretically, and maybe one day actually, it will work, but It ain’t today for sure.

Any thoughts on the rear view mirror? I heard someone post here that he eventually took it off and proved to himself that it was more of a hindrance to safety.
I’ve removed mine and don’t regret it at all. It opens up your view a lot. I planned on keeping the rear view up to see back seat passengers but that perspective was too close and overall clunky.

be careful when buying to this company. They are taking very long time for delivery their products and they don't disclose that in advance. I purchased center caps few weeks ago and nothing yet. Buyer be aware

I wanted to state that I did not have any problems ordering and my side mirror delete kit arrived as promised and well wrapped/protected. Easy to install and I've been living without mirrors for a couple of weeks now and have completely gotten used to it. The only time I wish I had a side mirror is when signaling to turn so now the screen on the dash shows the left side camera, but I'm still curious if anyone is behind me. Short of opening the tonneau cover and looking in the physical rear view mirror, I don't know. I wish there was a way to keep the rear view camera on screen and show the left turn camera at the same time. Does anyone know if there is?

Not bad. I've been training myself to look at the camera screen rather than the mirrors for the day I deleted the mirrors. I almost trust myself now. I'll look into these.
That's important. It has to become instinctive to look at the display. Also, restrict who can drive your CT. Most people are used to driving with mirrors.

The only way I'll be comfortable removing the side mirrors (I haven't done so yet, I fold them in to make them unusable while training), is to display the rear and side camera displays all the time. It covers the map, unfortunately, but the next turn instruction is still visible on the left side along with other information. I don't like having to activate a turn signal to see a side camera view and at the same time lose the rear view camera display. When starting out on a drive, I press the camera icon on the screen which brings up the front and side camera displays, so I need to swipe up to display the rear view. After that the rear view is displayed when toggling the camera icon to view the map. Unfortunately, the camera button on the steering wheel doesn't toggle between views of the map and the three camera views. This all takes some getting used to.

I always drive with the tonneau down, so the interior mirror is useless. I don't plan to remove it though because the Illinois statute on vehicle mirrors states:

Sec. 12-502. Mirrors. Every motor vehicle, operated singly or when towing another vehicle, shall be equipped with a mirror so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for a distance of at least 200 feet to the rear of such motor vehicle.

The CT's interior mirror satisfies Illinois law. Only 14 states specifically require side mirrors:

Alaska
California*
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana*
Maryland*
Michigan*
North Carolina*
Oklahoma
Rhode Island
Utah
Washington
Wisconsin
Wyoming

* Side mirrors required for in-state registered vehicles only

No bueno. The driver can’t see the cameras from inside of the vehicle. There’s just no way around the requirement for side view mirrors if you want to comply with the law. I understand why some are doing this, but I’d rather not have to deal with the hassle of a fix it ticket. Or worse, a collision because you didn’t see something you otherwise would have with the MK1 eyeball!

I’m sure the aftermarket will eventually offer a low profile mirror that is a good compromise.
For me, it’s worth the fix it ticket to have the sleek look. I also haven’t had a front plate since 2016 in Colorado and never been cited for it….and I have been pulled over twice since then for speeding which resulted in two warnings. This “threat” of not being compliant with the law when Tesla clearly gives you a better alternative to side mirrors just due to bureaucratic BS, is not enough to keep me from installing these.

They look like high end motorcycle parts.

She also has has the lift rod mods that’s being finalized now; 5/8” higher in low, 1” higher in medium and 2” higher in high mode. Rides just as nice and sits like a proper truck now
Any desire to sell the the mirrors? Messed my drivers side up hitting a building the other day

You do the mirror delete? Any desire to sell them? Hit a building the other day and wrecked my drivers side mirror housing

Is there any timing for rev 2.0? I want to buy these but want to wait for the new version as I'm sure you guys have learned quite a bit since they launched in April/May.

Billet Aluminum Mirror Delete Kit - https://cybertruckco.com/product/cybertruckco-billet-aluminum-mirror-delete-kit/

Finally arrived today and installed, looks badass! Took 15min to remove mirrors and install.

Pros: sleeker look, like the concept, better side visibility across the A piller. I like the detail lines on them, match the locking caps.

Cons: takes a second to look at the center screen when using turn signals for the camera. Although if you glance at the side and somebody there the red warning light comes on.

I know other customers shipped today as well.

what do you guys think?

It looks great. I installed PPF right before putting these on, and it also kept the SS and aluminum from touching. You might want to get a couple of small pieces of PPF and install it under them. That should be enough to prevent corrosion.
