I wasn't sure if Tesla "could" release as the OEM and if that would be perceived as encouraging the removal of mirrors, etc - but if no regulatory reason that makes sense given Elon touted "removable mirrors"....

Hopefully some tow mirrors come out as an option too!...nice option to be able to quickly swap between none (off-road), standard mirrors (daily), towing (towing)...or something like that...

I have to wrap my mind around if I want no mirrors! Like the idea but then when I jump in other vehicles I'll be an idiot (or more of one!) :)
Same thing as the lights.

Off road use only.

Guys, zoom in on the video. I posted a screen capture.

It appears to me, he pulls the trim back from the inside jam and removes the screws FROM THE INSIDE DOOR panel, that is NOTHING penetrates the SS exterior door panel. It looks like the mirror cantilevers over the top edge of the door to the outside. After removing the screws and disconnecting the electrical it looks like the trim would simply be snapped back in place. Yes, that is easy peasy.

There's a hole that lives on the wet side of the trim.

I will be sure to reference this video when I absolutely do not do this on my truck.

I think you’re asking to be stopped by the po-po if you are driving around without mirrors, then defending the visibility for a few more minutes, head scratching by law enforcement… and now you’re 20 minutes late for where you planned to be.

What covers the hole where it was installed?
Nice, but I would like to see what the outside looks like after removal. Does it leave a big hole?
I would anticipate that one or more of the bigger Tesla aftermarket companies will have a cool looking patch to cover the holes. And if not, then there are a ton of companies that you send your drawings to and they will waterjet some parts for you, and/or 3D print parts for you, or at a minimum, the 16 year old down the street with the 3D printer will make you something pretty cheap.

Found the video with the plugs (?)

Though these might be the roof rack plugs?

@cvalue13
I actually think those are bed floor pieces, removed for the D-Ring accessories that are installed.
