Anyone know if Tesla will sell or provide a plug or some kind of bank to cover the hole if the mirrors are removed?

Man I would doubt it. Gotta think the NHTSA would not be stoked to see that.

I want to say no, not because there would be no demand for it, but I think they don't want to be in the news when someone gets into an accident while changing lands after they paid Tesla for a modification to their truck that requires their side mirrors to be removed.

But there will be aftermarket parts to fill that whole. I'll be shocked if they are not being sold within the next few months. There are already so many products ready to come out with the Cybertruck that are a lot more complex than a plug/cap for that hole.

Do you mean, like antlers at Christmas or horns at Halloween? That would be cool. Or a machine gun turret (even of just a toy)? The imagination goes wild!

Of course, most likely alternate mirrors...

Yes, they will.

NHTSA doesn’t prevent this anymore than they present Jeep Wranglers from removing their windows

as with jeep, Tesla will just say it’s for off-road purposes only

just like the light bar, which is also not ‘street legal’

There will soon be an .OBJ file popping up on the intertubes. Go to a maker studio, rent a 3D printer, and make yourself a couple.

Easy peasy

Right, and the doors and top too.

I have seen several trucks lately with those external lights that aren't covered. I remember looking at the table you showed here with the various states regulations on external lights. I don't recall offhand what the rules were for California but I suspect that it isn't until someone turns them on and the CHP happens to be around that stuff happens.

I'm assuming you'd get a ticket if you removed the mirrors ?
