In Europe Teslas have amber turn signals. Some American cars used to get special permission to have red turn signals but these days they are either converted by the importer or delivered with amber.

My model 3 also has one white reverse light because cars also must have a red rear fog light (which takes that position on the other side on the Model 3 at least).
Interesting. I saw a Mosel S with Swiss plates and it had red signals. If they make the light assembly in both amber and red, maybe we can specify at the time of production, for those that have a preference. Thanks for the global insight.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's language difference from Oz or not, but markers are solid and indicators flash in American English. ^-^;

My language is more Engrish ? So I realise I was talking about amber turn indicators. Haven’t seen any Tesla with red turn indicators.

I see 3 different lights in the gate. Would that meet the 3rd brake light requirement?

Wow, 1-year thread bump. You’re really committed to back-reading lol

AFAIK the regulations on the 3rd brake light are very generous, and easily met. The top of the CT tailgate is about 6 inches higher than the roof of my car!

Yea, I guess I need to pay more attention to that. I usually just hit the what's new button and I mush have followed a side track on this one. LOL

I’ve had EU clear lens clearance and taillights in other cars. I like how easy a lightbulb switch from clear, red to amber is all it takes to comply or modify them.

Cybertruck width needs rear corner visual ID and lighting would go a long way towards preventing accidents even when parked. Parked that 81” width sticks out further and especially makes it prone to contact from people parking behind, against a curb. That 132” length don’t help none either.

Yeah, right before that change they had an install error where the red inner would light up instead of the outside for the brake light.

EU cars don't have amber rear markers, either.

I prefer amber turn signals, but honestly, I don't think it matters as much as the center/upper rear brake lamp.

-Crissa
I think he means amber rear turn indicator lights.
Europe definitely has amber turn signals, mostly only classic US cars come with red turn indicators there, especially Switzerland where they seem popular.

Marker ≠ indicator/signal.

You are correct, the EU requires amber signals.

Yes, I wrote my prior post confusingly. I often do.

Going to have to disagree with you on that one @Crissa. There are many posts on this forum that I have to read multiple times to decipher what the author meant. Very rarely do I have to read your posts more than once.
