I had sudden onset vibrations, waited a couple days, made Tesla service appt, and problem gradually got better, but never as good as car at delivery. Two tires had detached foam. Tesla would only remove foam and rebalance, for which they charged me. I was told to contact Goodyear directly for warranty. Goodyear worked with me to set up appointment at another shop and told me to bring Tesla invoice and provided case number. I expect it to get all made right with new tires. They said Tesla does not want to engage in any tire warranty support.
I’m starting to regret spending so much money on a Tesla. Most dealers advocate for you specially when spending this much money.

I had this issue of my steering wheel vibrating/shaking while on smoother highway speeds over 70mph. The rest of the car doesn’t shake. Just my steering wheel. Brought it in for service and they fixed maybe 70% of it. A lot less shake.

Since the steering wheel is drive by wire the shake is just feedback from the perceived road. They probably just dialed it down a little for me.

Company owned stores, good and bad. In this case it did not help. I have owned Teslas since 2015 and the service levels have gone up and down over time. Best up until M3 came out and overwhelmed capacity. Improved a bit but has gone down again in last 1.5 years after earnings call where they said service would not loose money.

I posted earlier in the thread about our experience with this so far. At this time, we've had the one service center appointment where they failed to fix it (after having it there for literally weeks for various other repairs). Took it home and immediately reported the problem. They told me I had to close the ticket and open a new one up which I did. That promptly put me at another 2 month wait for another service center appointment.

Meanwhile if I drive my truck on the interstate/highway, it feels like I'm driving down a sugar sand road (if you know what I mean). Vibrations are so bad you feel like you are in a cheap carnival ride. Entire vehicle shakes wildly, not just the steering wheel. Then randomly, half a mile down the road, it's smooth as possible. Then slowly ramps back up with the heavy shaking. It's amusing to try and sing through it. As funny as it can be after you've forked over $100k+ and are being treated by the service center this way.

Notified service center in February a couple of days after driving the vehicle off the lot. It's now June and they still haven't fixed everything. Absurd.

Adding another data point to this thread. Our truck was in the service center for almost three months. One issue they were diagnosing was a similar vibration issue as reported by several here. Full thread is this one:

While they fixed everything else, the vibration issue with the tires is almost worse now. They supposedly balanced the tires again. My long drive home allowed me to set the cruise control to 73 (vibration is minor in the 50-55mph range, goes away until 70, and kicks back in above 70). I drove on long stretches of straight, smooth pavement at 73mph. The vibrations would slowly kick in, get REALLY bad for a mile or so, then slowly go away. It would be very smooth for another mile or two before the vibrations would slowly kick in again. Rinse and repeat, over and over again.

Very strange. Anyone know what might cause that? I have a feeling this will be another service center appointment trip.... Last one being ~80 days long made me want to cry though. :(
My Cybertruck didn't exhibit any vibrations until after 2,800 miles. Interestingly, I've noticed that the vibration on the highway sometimes disappears for 100-150 yards when I drive over a small bump or uneven concrete. I thought perhaps something might be loose inside the tire, causing the car to vibrate when it rotates with the tire, and then temporarily stopping the vibration when it rolls inside the tire.

Additionally, I've recently added extended mud flaps to my truck. Could these mud flaps be creating air turbulence that results in the vibration?

Sounds like a classic case of the foam inside the tire coming loose. Lots of us have had the issue now. Make an appointment and they will get you a new tire when they confirm.

I now have over 4200 miles on my CT AWD and I'm still experiencing vibration at various speeds as low as 50 mph. At 80+ mph the vibration becomes quite pronounced. I complained of the vibration shortly after taking delivery to the service center in Las Vegas. We took it out for a test drive, but in heavy traffic it was not possible to replicate the problem. Tesla refused to check the balance (said they didn't have the equipment), and refused to rotate the rear tires to the front to see if it made a difference. I was told to put at least 1000 miles on the vehicle to see if it persists. I had the tires rotated myself and it made no difference. I will take it to another Tesla service center near Chicago and see if I can get this problem resolved.
Did you get it resolved? I have this same issue.

Yes. They ended up replacing both motors.
Oof. You had the worst case scenario I guess.

We are taking our truck back in shortly for all of the recalls that have accumulated. Inverter replacement, those metal strips (sails?) outside that need new double-sided tape or whatever that's about, windshield wiper motor replacement, wheel covers (finally!), and some alert that popped up a few weeks ago saying a service rep was remotely connected to our vehicle and determined there was a non-emergency problem that needed a service appointment scheduled for. Whatever that's about.

We already had our accelerator pedal "recall" work done last year.

My truck vibrates on high speed since delivery. I road force balanced it twice. The first time made it worse and the second time made it better but I can still feel the slight vibration over 60mph on smooth asphalt road..Is this normal characteristics of AT tires?
Mine started again after about 13k miles front drive unit replacement. I’m bringing it back on the 7th.
