It only takes some pocket change to find out.
Is it as thick as a dime and a nickel?
Is it as thick as two dimes?
Is it as thick as quarter?
Is it as thick as two pennies?
Is it as thick as a penny and a dime?
Is it as thick as a brick?

I'm going with two pennies, because that's all the money I have,.

Also, is it consistent thickness throughout?

3mm is what they said years ago. Is that the actual figure today?
Also a quarter is 1.75 mm.
Two pennies is 3.04 mm

Probably 60% greater like the price, so 4.8mm, I’m not really pissed at the price increase.

Well, the US mint says quarters are 1.75 mm.
I would have to say that your bottle opener is not 3 mm.

I heard 1.4 mm in one of the video’s. Might have been the top gear one when talking about pedestrian safety.

I've heard anything from 1.4mm to 3.0mm. One of the recent review videos mentions a number, maybe 1.8mm, but while also saying it was a special allow blend that was a lot tougher than regular 304 stainless probably is.

Tesla had immense phenomenal challenges optimizing manufacturing affordability for the design and I think they did an awesome job.

Concerning the thickness of the stainless, how the doors withstood the bullets shot at it is all I need to know.

If it stops 45 caliber bullets do you really care how thick it is? They said in at least one video in the last 24 hours that the stainless steel is providing a huge percentage of the flexural regidity, so it isn't just tough against banging and bullets but is providing meaningful structural stiffness.

The Top Gear video is where they talked about the rigidity the stainless provides.
