I don't recall there being a stated dependency of 8" of ground clearance with a vehicle height of 75". CT's height was a spec at the reveal and clearance can range from 8" to 16". Do you have a source?

Also a few more points of reference:

1: Highest setting vs. lowest setting

2. Elon for scale / Elon my constant (LOST reference)

Elon has said, and I do not have the quote in front of me, that the minimum height will be 75”. We know that the ground clearance is 12” +/- 4”. So minimum height will be 75” at 8” ground clearance.

I could be wrong because it's all speculation, but based on my understanding...

Exoskeleton frame can allow more vertical cab space without being as tall as a traditional cab on frame truck design.

Do we even know what the suspension setting is here? It is supposed to raise or lower 4 inches for a total of 8 inches of adjustment. If we assume the ~75 Inches in the specs is with the middle setting, then it could be as short as 71 inches.

Lots of oddball things we just don’t quite know yet Before we can start taking stabs at height.

Using my pixel ruler app and setting a unit of Elon to 74 inches, we get this. It's all at an angle, so if I had to guess we're dealing with 34 inch tires and about 60 inch height.

Speculate away.

I literally laughed out lout at the Cybertruck being 58.9 inches tall.

My Model Y is 64 inches tall. If the Cybertruck were 58.9 inches tall it would be truly, comically small. The photographs would be showing the roof of the truck at most angles as lots of photographs are taken from eye level which is something like 60 - 69 inches high. People would literally be looking down on the truck, even the short bald guy.

How can you be named Rogain and be bald anyhow.

Anyhow… I think you need to go back to the drawing board here.

It's possible the suspension is bottomed out, if the travel on the website is to be believed you can basically raise it up 8 inches, bringing it up to 68 inches.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if it's way lower profile compared to normal trucks at the end of the day since it about function and not looking "like a truck".

The suspension on my Model Y is 6” I think.

The Cybertruck’s highest suspension setting is 16” and varies as you suggest 8 inches. That means the lowest it gets is 8 inches of clearance.

At it’s shortest setting, the Cybertruck still has 2 inches more clearance than my Model Y so in order for it to be 58.9 inches tall at it’s lowest setting, the actual body of the Cybertruck would be 7 inches flatter than my Model Y. Roughly the same thickness as the Model 3, but 19 feet long and 82 inches wide.

It would be It would be a rolling pancake.

If Joe Rogan is 5'8" (68 inches) the Cybertruck cant be only 58 inches tall. (especially when it looks to me that the camera is lower than the top of his head)

Though it would be reasonable if at the lowest setting the truck is 68 inches tall and 76 inches tall at the highest setting. Keep in mind the F-150 is something like 75-77 inches tall.

Found this on twitter.

The second Musk was edited in and scaled *relative to the tire size*.

The truck is angled away from them more than people are accounting for.

The Cybertruck is a giant optical illusion that fools people’s perception over and over again. The angles fool the eye into all sorts of weird thinking.

Cell phone cameras typically have a pretty wide angle lens on them which distorts the image as well.

Recent photo floating on reddit shows bewildering new perspective on the CT considering Elons height. It looks drastically reduced way more than 5%. I might be wrong. But per Google...
Elon is 6"2
Jordan peterson 6"1
And Joe Rogan is 5"8

Based on Elon's height as a scaling ratio, I attached a pdf with dimensions. Keep in mind the picture is taken at an angle so the actual dimensions may be longer and with the air suspension could reach the original height of 75in.
