Dropped my 2025 truck off because my Cantrail is warped. The tech told me that they don't have any cantrails in stock, but even if they did... I should still hold off because Tesla is coming out with yet another type of "fix" for the cantrail (otherwise I would be looking at getting it fixed twice). Again, this is a 2025 that was supposed to have the cantrail issue already resolved.

I asked him if the revision was because you can see those bolt bulges through the metal on most of them. He didn't seem to think so.

The cantrail, wiper system, and a few other things are engineering compromises that are to be expected on a gen1, brand new architecture.

I'm actually super glad critical systems (like SBW and 48v) have been very stable for the most part; cosmetic stuff will get tweaked eventually.

My cantrails are slated to get replaced tomorrow during a service visit to get the missing tonneau slat added on my May '24 AWD. I'll let you know if they say anything about it.

When I opened a service ticket, they automatically added all the recall items. I removed the cantrails, wiper motor, and flex guides because I lean towards "ain't broke don't fix" camp.

I had a service appointment last week, status of items:
- cant rail - parts not available (despite appointment scheduled a month earlier), being released in batches by VIN. No ETA despite what the recall letter said.
- extra slat in tonneau - added and fixed! no water ingress during our last downpour in NJ. Previously it leaked quite badly at the top of the roof.
- cooled seats not cooling - "functioning as intended", which is they still don't work. I told them to compare to a Model S, X or anything else. They checked another Cybertruck and said they were the same.
- requested tire rotation, per service schedule - was not performed as it was deemed "not needed". What?

Good luck with getting a new cant rail. I also had to fight them to the spare tire I had already paid for. Had to dig up and message a screenshot, at their request, of the invoice. Don't they have this in the system? Crazy.

Yeah I made a request for service earlier in the month which I cancelled once they said “Customer Education” for resolution on cantrail recall and my gen 5 wireless charger request.

MY SC said they had a ton of replacement cantrails. Odd they are saying it's by VIN. They asked if I wanted it when they had to replace my suspension compressor and I said no and they said "we've got plenty, just let us know".

Good point, I also had the replacement wireless charger on my service request. When I got there they claimed they checked and a replacement part doesn't exist in the system. I mentioned I've seen pictures in this forum, they ignored it.

It’s shocking to me some of the stuff I hear that the service centers tell other customers. Customer education, “go f:$k yourself, I have considerably more education on most subjects including teslas than most of the people who work there.
It’s like having the guy at grease monkey who is barely a step up from a Waffle House employee tell you synthetic oil from the dealership is the wrong oil to run in your expensive bmw. No offense intended if you work at Waffle House , I love Waffle House but the prequalifications obviously aren’t sky high.
I too have run in to obstructive a$$4oles at a Tesla service center before on various occasions. It really depends who you get. Like there is no oversight whatsoever.
My best advice is to shop around. Not all service centers are the same and sometimes you just have to get away from a particular person on some crusade to get things done.
There are multiple service centers in Phoenix but I can see how that’s especially frustrating in a smaller town where this might not be the case .
Another strategy that’s worked for me before is to play chicken with them when they say I have to pay for something. I just say “sure” and then after they do the repair and try to figure out how to bill you for something Tesla never intended to collect money for, it’s not as easy as it was threatening you with a bill at the counter or over the app. The risk there of course is that sometimes they do figure it out and then you pay for it.

I made a service appt this evening for tire rotation, and they added 'Replace Cant Rail Assemblies" as a service task. I hope I don't get visible stud welding spots. I've got a 20k VIN, and my cant rails seems fine, but I guess they're just doing them all. I'll message the service crew and see if they have heard about a new kind of fix coming.

(Also, they added the light bar install which I cancelled as I still want to wait to see what's in the pipeline.)

If that’s of any value, got my contrails replaced a few weeks ago (with the extra tonneau slat job) and there is no apparent extra welding studs etc… but the fit isn’t perfect and they told me it’s harder to adjust than before because they are two bolts on the mounting points instead of one. May file another service request one day to try to have them tuned up a bit.

How can they have tons of units to replace? CTs aren't selling right? (insert sarcastic gaze)

Which one is it? They either sold tons or not.

Got the new wireless charger installed today. Along with an air suspension part. I sent them the part number for the wireless charger and they actually corrected me as it was -B not -C. I’ll send screenshots when I pickup later. Installing it now.
