To me that mileage was not bad at all at 242 mile for that trip. Conditions, cargo, elevation and modifications plus moving that BAW the whole time. It actually sounds pretty good. I’ve been driving a model S for 4 years and never expect to get full mileage that is stated when I unplug. I don’t get stated miles on our ice after filling up either and don’t expect to. I get that people who’ve never owned an ev think it’s some kind of trick. But I’ll bet they have never tracked actual mileage achieved to stated because why would they? Maybe it’s just me but that mileage seemed pretty fair and encouraging.

Upper 40's temp, off road tires without aero cover wheels, loaded with passenger/dog and luggage for trip, speed not limited to 70-75 as I saw 79 on video plus pouring rain most of the way with elevation.

Normal trip for many/ 'real world' understood but until I (or another) can compare same trip/conditions against my M3, I will not have a good sense of range.

I can image running more aggressive wheel/tire package in the rain @ 47 degrees with hills now and would be 30% hit on my M3 est.

In no way meant to criticize Dennis, all his work is greatly appreciated.

I didn't watch the video, but there are so many Superchargers that a trip shouldn't be a gamble unless you go into a desert or forest somewhere. Just work within a 175mi range and you'll be fine. No need to gamble on range. Superchargers are spread out around 150mi or less in popular high traffic areas. I used to worry a lot when I bought my 3 in 2018 where there wasn't a lot of chargers, but I road tripped fine. Now, I don't even care, I just hit the road and charge whenever since there are plenty (until 3rd party EVs get access) superchargers.

I plan to drive my CT like a 3. It will go to the same places as my 3 so I'm not worried about range. I will never drive into the woods or desert, camp multiple nights somewhere, or tow. Cybertruck will do exactly what my 3 can do.

Greetings. I have a Cybertruck on order for last 4 years and own Tesla stock and love Tesla.. Can you please come and try to drive across Texas next in your Cybertruck. Probably about same 4,000 KM you just drove. Hee Hee
I think we will need that $16,000. extra battery that takes up all the space up in the bed down here in Texas?? Cheers, Zale PS on 2nd thought, is there room in the bed for 2 of those batteries? Call it the " Texas Edition " :)

Do you never need to urinate? Have you talked to your doctor about this? ^-^

I can't even watch such a stupid video. I just drove from almost Canada to Reno, NV, taking the back highways, temps from 23F to 40F, traveling at 65 to 73 mph, passing cars and trucks, over snowy mountain passes and range wasn't even a concern. My charge stops were mostly 20-22 minutes unless I needed longer to get food. I didn't even have my Aero wheelcovers on, my tires were the more aggressive "winter" AT tires, and my wheel fairings were missing (I think I had one front one on there).

Some people still don't understand how to travel worry-free by EV. I could understand if in a GM or Ford, but a Tesla, with full Supercharger access? I don't get it. How is this even a thing in 2024? Does that Youtuber have some loose marbles rattling around in his head?

I didn’t even watch it ? but if he came from LA to Vegas there are like 20 SC stations on the way and some of them have a wild amount of chargers , I think it’s Barstow? It had 4 rows with like 10 in each row. Yeah it was Barstow
