My cybertruck was delivered without notice to the end of my driveway in the night while I slept. Went out in the morning to find a locked cybertruck blocking the end of my driveway with no key to be found. My driveway was unusable. Later in the morning someone called to say they had my truck but they needed the combination to the gate to deliver it. I have no gate but I do have a delivered cybertruck. I explained that and in return was told the location of my key. Put in my mailbox in a clear violation of federal law. Four days later I got license plates and temporary registration from Tesla. Four days to get from NJ to Maine, a nine hour drive.
But I love the truck.
This is your very first post on this forum, and it's extremely sus.

Tesla delivery process is horrible.
I picked up my cybertruck this morning and I was shocked at the nonchalance of their delivery approach.

It's my first Tesla, but no one cared to walk me to my car, show me around the features, or help me set up the infotainment system. Absolutely nothing.

Now this would have been great if it was a choice, but what happens to someone who isn't tech savvy? Is Tesla fine with loosing those kinds of customers?

The entire process was very detestful!!
Jesus man , you all want your hand held and act like Tesls
Needs to give you a foot massage when you pick your trucks up! I went they told me how to open it and check it over then do the auto documents no one ever came out and didn’t think twice about it ! Who cares ?????? That’s what Google is for.

Tesla experience is what I prefer. Two vehicles so far. Y and CT. And I buy luxury brands like Land Rovers. I deal directly with the GMs to avoid salesman BS. I usually order the vehicles and just show up to the dealer to pick them up. Even if I dealt only with GMs, they still have to assign you to a salesman at pickup. Usually 1.5-2 hours of just BS.

You uhh, sound offended. You okay?
No I’m not ok. I swear , people seem to be against anything involving progress or improvement of any kind. Like if you took a time machine back to the year 2000 and told folks “ guys they finally did it, they made affordable electric cars that run off sunlight, drive themselves, and are basically spaceships on wheels , plus no more dealership! Isn’t that great “. They would be like that’s cool. The future sounds pretty good. And yet … here we are 2024. “mehhhh. I miss getting kicked in the junk by car salesmen, also , maybe 5 bucks a gallon isn’t too bad. Meh build quality, panel gaps. ”

I don't know how much progress that's really been made, but, ok.

My first Tesla back in the day it was a whole event which was cool. Since then it has become less and less.

I could give a crap about them showing me the truck. When I picked mine up it was great! I signed a couple forms, I inspected the truck and I was gone. The truth is they don’t know about the truck. When I picked mine up in May there was only one person at the Tesla center that was allowed to drive it.

The experience is not premium however it also depends on where you get it. I have now picked up two Teslas at the same location and both times the experience was fantastic. But friends have had miserable experiences. For the price of the Cybertruck they should be treating you very special but most dont. But they were pretty helpful during my experience which was quick and smooth. I was in and out with the Cybertruck in about 15 minutes. Absolutely amazing speed.

My BMW M2 and M4 were very fast for traditional dealership in and out ordered w/ the dealership over the phone and when time to pickup I was in and out only 15 mins.

Interesting how people all see this a different way. Personally, I can’t stand the traditional dealer model it’s sleezy. At Tesla it’s great to be able to walk in without having to talk to anyone, get in your new CT and leave. There are countless videos available if you have questions. I feel good when I leave the Tesla dealer because at BMW, MB and Porsche I need to wash the stink off my hands when I get home. No more of that BS. Enjoy the truck!

I used to say this until I found out that they were listed as a luxury brand focused on tech and performance.
Luxury my ass. The technology is what warrants the high price. Make no mistake, Tesla is exceptional but the build quality (interior and exterior) is on par with late 90’s Kia.

I feel that in general, this is an early delivery (per SC) perk that just fades over time.

So very true. I bought 2 S classes and my experience was excellent at pick up. I picked up my Cybertruck 2 weeks ago in Austin and the experience was terrible. I ripped them in their survey. Lack of interest towards customers. Shameful!
