That is my dream too. I have a Model 3 now that I thought would take me to places. It only took me to range anxiety. Hope this big truck would be a happy story and like you, my last big toy. I have to refrain my excitement as my turn will still be about 2 years. I hope not all my teeth are gone by then because I'll be 80 by that time. ? ?
Do you input your destination when road tripping? If so you shouldn't have range anxiety. I've traveled to 11 states without any range anxiety... And I've traveled several states while towing a hitch carrier. There's always non-tesla chargers and RV parks to. The coverage is phenomenal at this point.

I think it depends on the specifics. Is that a $70k Tri-motor model at 350 miles of range? Or is it is a dual motor at 350 miles per range for $60k? Or something else?

350 miles does not match any of the announcement configurations, so its difficult to say what it could be or at what price point.

My personal opinion is that the $70k version's popularity is driven by the 500 miles Range more then then 3 second 0-60 Speed, so only having a 350 mile range for that version would be a big disappointment for those interested in the higher end version.

That said, I think there are a number of us who would accept a lower range version at the announcement price over a higher 500 mile range version at an amount substantially above the announcement price. 500 mile range might not be feasible at the announced pricing yet.

I am anxious to find out.

** Edit- Also, I do want to add that Tesla did cancel there 500 mile range Model S they were going to do, so its not with out precedent sadly. We might not be at the energy density we need yet.
the CT is different in that the CT will have a towing market..... the S not so much.

It was on Now You Know a couple weeks or months ago. I think the company was founded by some ex Tesla people.
Oh you mean the channel that does nothing but run long form ads and read information someone else wrote?

ok so that trailer doesn’t yet exist and even if it did 99.9% of the trailers in existence aren’t like that

Tesla EPA numbers ARE far more optimistic than everyone else's. And the reason is well known:

https://www.caranddriver.com/featur...-factor-tesla-uses-for-big-epa-range-numbers/

A CT with a 350 mile Tesla EPA range would significantly under-perform a Rivian dual motor with 350 mile range and not even come close to a max pack or a Silverado.
Please stop. This is nonsense, based off of nothing. Tesla does tend to be conservative with their batteries while testing their range more extensively and accurately. Which means if you drive a Tesla, it will tell you to charge before it needs to, so it has extra range on the bottom end like an ICE vehicle.

It doesn't mean that in the same range, Tesla does worse. It means for this set of vehicles, they didn't misestimate the amount of range. They also have the most reliable EVs with the best battery life - probably because of this. It means they perform better in the cold and heat than others. Just like there's variation in ICE vehicle range under those conditions from brand to brand.

Ugh. Just stop, please. You're comparing trucks with prices 50% higher to the Dual Motor. Why?

If you're 1) getting a new truck 2) towing often 3) towing long distances 4) worried about range then a new trailer might be something you want to consider. If you do or don't consider it changes nothing in my life. I'm just offering options.

Its not an option
Its a proposal for a bespoke and very expensive trailer that may or may not get built, may or may not meet the RVAA or DOT codes, may or may not work as designed and who knows about reliability.
The concept seems promising but until 5-6 reputable manufacturers are making them, id strongly suggest nobody count on it
