Very cool. I want to get one too. Cost?
As of this moment, the cost was you had to buy a foundation series cyberbeast. There have been credible reports that Tesla intends this to be an exclusive to that build and that build alone. Further evidence of this is that people have, reportedly, tried to install it on foundation series AWD models and it seems to be hardware coded such that it will not work.

We will see how this develops.

Looks great! I picked my beast up in July and am having the light bar installed today in North NJ. I’ve read of a few service stations that have fully installed them but I’ve been told they will leave the wiring up to me.

After looking at the install it seems straight forward. My only apprehension is popping off the roof applique without messing up the wrap.

Congrats again, looking forward to joining the club!

There is also the T Sportline Cybertruck light bar for $600. Possibly there are other aftermarket options out there.

The Tesla light bar is permanently glued on, and does not include a cover. This poses a potential problem in some states (including CA, PA, VA) that require auxiliary lights to be covered or detached on public roads (the reasoning is that other drivers would be blinded if the lights were switched on by mistake). To avoid liability, Tesla will only partially install the light bar; they will leave it with incomplete electrical connections and with opaque black tape over the lights. It's up to the customer (or a third-party installer) to make the final connections and to remove the tape.

In contrast, the T Sportline light bar can be detached from the roof using quick-disconnect fittings. They also offer brackets for storing the detached light bar in the truck bed.

Very excited to have gotten my lightbar installed just a few days ago. Here’s my experience. I tried to make an appointment on the app, it was cancelled and told to wait for an email when available. I instead, went to a service center in person and talked to the service manager who was able to order the bar and complete installation within a week. I had to connect the bar myself ( easy 2 minute job) if you’re used to working on cars and molding. If not, maybe 15 minute then. The following day I drove down to LA freeway speeds. No issues at all, no extra wind noise, no failures. Average speed 70-80 with occasional 90 to pass. Got a chance to turn it on at night. Photos don’t do it justice but it pretty awesome. Controlled from either plugs and accessories or lights tab. You can assist the output same as bed lights. You can choose between ditch, food, or both.

Nice!

To confirm, does the truck need to be in Off-Road Mode to access the lightbar controls? Or can you enable it regardless of drive mode?

has anyone gotten the long-awaited email to install the light bar?
or is it pretty much only because they asked and were persistent about it that they
finally got the light bar installed.
Beast delivered in May. Got email in October for wheel covers and had them installed on 12/2. Just got second “wheel covers” email a few days ago. Just went today, hoping the email really meant “light bar”. No dice?

You can access the controls from any drive mode. Like previously stated, I’d be caution about using it on public roads to avoid a ticket.

I don't have mine, but tried to add it to my last service order and I was politely told you'll get it when we get yours delivered.

Will it be available for non foundation awd vehicles eventually?

I like the look of Tesla oem lightbar vs the aftermarket ones with large brackets

will Tesla release a non permanent version? would like to ability to take it off if i don't want it on there.
No. Most OEM’s never do this. One thing I’m sure of this will be a limited run and this is what you’ll get. The only real question is: whether it will remain a FS CB exclusive.
