lol guess we're all trying that now. I'm also a '24 summer delivery still waiting. Happy to wait if they're truly redesigning the mount. I'd definitely prefer the aftermarket mounts I've seen that go into existing mount points..

Regardless, OP, that looks awesome, obviously several of us are jealous. Enjoy!

Just got the light bar installed and a few notes that are important when hooking it up.
Go to passenger side B. pillar and open both doors Gently pull the weatherstripping away from Below the top corners. This will prevent you from bending the metal strip that is inside of the rubber weatherstrip and allow you to install it back a lot easier into the corner groove.
Remove the plastic plate with a key to access the 10 mm bolt.

Gently lift up the glass plate and you will see a taped female connection and a fixed male plug that runs from the roof. Make sure you insert both firmly and push the red tab to ensure that the connection is made. ( insert dick jokes here)

nothing magically happens until you go into the main screen and press outlets and mods button and voilà you will see that the light bar will show physically on screen and you’ll get a message saying that the light bar is successfully installed.

The light bar in my opinion changes the front of the truck in a really great way and the damn thing is bright as hell so be careful out there children.

Anyone with LB installed comments on effect on drag I.e. highway speed range? So you even notice it? Also any change in (wind) noises?
None. No. No appreciable changes in either regard for me.

In certain angles it looks exactly like the prototype even though it’s not under the glass and it stores at the opposite end it gives a bit of an optical illusion, in my opinion, mirroring the original design.

Doesn’t really feel so super bright to me though.

Got my lightbar yesterday. Here is my story. Bought one of the inventory Cyberbeasts with the free supercharging, connectivity, and FSD. Picked up Jan 7th with 12 miles on the speedo. I immediately submitted a service request for the lightbar. BTW, I live in CO. When my appointment approached, they contacted me and told me they were not going to cancel it due to the fact that they should be getting the lightbar in VERY soon. Rescheduled for next week. I took it down yesterday and they had the part. I was the FIRST one here in town. Uh oh. They said they would secure it to the windshield with nails.

Just kidding. All you have to do is BE NICE to them! Bring them some donuts or something, they like to be appreciated too. Ask them if it would be okay if before they put it all back together, if you could please go plug it in. They said sure but we cannot see it. Agreed. I plugged it in and they reassembled the truck. Got home, enabled the power on the touchscreen, yow! That sucker is BRIGHT. Love the look. YMMV. Good luck. Mac

Very excited to have gotten my lightbar installed just a few days ago. Here’s my experience. I tried to make an appointment on the app, it was cancelled and told to wait for an email when available. I instead, went to a service center in person and talked to the service manager who was able to order the bar and complete installation within a week. I had to connect the bar myself ( easy 2 minute job) if you’re used to working on cars and molding. If not, maybe 15 minute then. The following day I drove down to LA freeway speeds. No issues at all, no extra wind noise, no failures. Average speed 70-80 with occasional 90 to pass. Got a chance to turn it on at night. Photos don’t do it justice but it pretty awesome. Controlled from either plugs and accessories or lights tab. You can assist the output same as bed lights. You can choose between ditch, food, or both.

It doesn't appear to be flush with the roof.

It doesn’t attach to the roof. It attaches to the windshield. Go look at the gap between your windshield and roof on your truck and you’ll understand why it’s not “flush” with the roof. It tapers down towards it, and ends at the back edge of the windshield.

Had my light bar installed on 12/24/24 and on 12/28/24 while I was driving with FSD on 75 mph it flew off the roof of my CB with only the wire hanging on. The right pillar on the roof also got halfway broken off Made another service request and am supposed to have it this week done. My brother who also has a CB was told the have the light bar but many people have had the light bar fly off and some cars hit the windshield when apply brakes and cracks the windshield. Service agent told him they can install but Tesla is going to add brackets soon. So he decided to wait since he saw my CB.

My experience on this light bar....
- had to just schedule the installation even without email notification (the light bar will follow)
- light bar looks great, however not very bright comparing to my Rigid set on my Raptor.
- light output from light bar is aiming too low, maybe only 20' or so farther than the regular headlights (the high beams aims higher)
- the side ditch lights are a joke! it seems like my passenger shines a flashlight out the window.

However underwhelming it is, the look is nice and looks integrated and oem.

I called and they said I just need to plug the harness in at the b-piller. However, it was the 4th person that they passed the phone to, but none were the tech that worked on my truck. Then today, I opened the B-pillar and see that the plugs are already plugged in. I guess I'll just have a none functional lightbar. Still looks cool on top of the truck. It's illegal to use on road anyway so not going to care of it works or not.

The LB does not come with a cover (except the black tape) so what y’all doing to cover it up when on public roads? Nothing, just going on luck?

What does your main screen show when you go into the outlets and mods subsection? Turn on the switch and you we’ll see the light bar installed visually and you’ll get a message that it’s successfully installed once you turn the outlet on

Not all states require light bars to be covered on public roads, but some (including CA, PA, VA) do. In CA, I don't think it's common to be pulled over for an uncovered auxiliary light, but apparently it has happened. Of course, if you turned the light on while driving on a public road, you could definitely get in trouble (in any state).

There are companies in California that make custom light bar covers, including Lightbarcovers.com and Light Bar Covers Unlimited. They might be the best source of info. Alternatively, you could just keep a big roll of black tape in the truck. Apply tape over the light bar on public roads, remove the tape off-road, reapply when back on pavement..
