Yeah, their inventory tracker only cares about the main part, not the rest of the required tools. Plus lightbar process has changed and one of the primers only has a 24 lifetime once opened.
I hope the process has changed such that no more lightbars flying off...

I hope you get it installed even if you are NOT going to use it. I have a camping trip coming up in June and I will turn it on while I am camping to see what it does to my camp site. :)

Good morning, all,

I purchased a 2024 Cyberbeast Foundation Series in December 2024.
I still haven’t received any notification regarding the off-road light bar it was supposed to come with.
Does anyone have an idea what the average wait time is?
Do they actually reach out to you directly and notify you that the light bar has come in?
Did they install it for you?
I have reached out to Tesla on several occasions and they claim it’s a waiting game and that I’ll automatically receive a notification from a service center when they receive it and reach out to set up an appointment. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

At this point in time I believe you can go into the app and request it. I did that giving them 3 weeks advance appointment and they accepted. I am scheduled next week.

I went in for Wednesday on mine and there was 6-8 others there for it. Looks like they have full stock at all service centers

They were unable to do mine a couple days ago because they didn't have a specific primer. Apparently it is back-ordered. They rescheduled a month out...

I finally got an email from Tesla saying my lightbar was ready. I added a few other warranty things to my service request since I was bringing the truck in anyway. Well this is aggravating: at the end of the day, after sc messaged and said the vehicle was ready to pick up, I asked did you leave the instructions for finally connections of the lightbar in the truck? And they responded: "The lightbar was not installed today as we do not have the primer needed for the installation. We will create a follow up service visit for you for the lightbar". WTH, Tesla? No one told me they couldn't do it yesterday, even though I was in person talking with the person at the desk. Why did they accept that date for the appointment, knowing they couldn't complete the work? Now the app is prompting me to make another appointment date, but how can I, if I don't know if they have the primer in yet? I heard crickets from the service team when I messaged them complaining about this. They never have loaners anymore so I have to ask my husband to drive also because I'm not sitting and waiting all day. Is this lightbar even worth it? I guess I'm stuck with it since I paid for it (Foundation Beast) but probably will rarely use it. Anybody notice any range decrease after lightbar installation?
I have had a very similar experience at my SC. You can make an appointment for the light bar no problem, and they may accept the appointment, but it's another thing entirely that they will actually install it. I think there is also a communication breakdown within the company. It's like they are not allowed to tell you any information unless you ask, and then they do not have access to it when you do ask. I have been lied to so many times by people at the SC that I can't count them anymore.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I’d be frustrated too. How long was the period of time from when you purchased it until receiving the message from Tesla?
Which Service Center is it? So I can try to avoid that one for going through the same issues.

I have not received the email I am talking about, attempting to get the thing installed before getting notified by email, as some posts here suggest that you can. and I am saying that I have tried it and it never works. they will let you schedule an appointment, they might even verify that appointment, but at the end of the day, still no light bar.

Give us some more details, come on now, you can't just make that claim and not back it up
When did you get your truck?
what SC did you go to?
did you receive the email before the appointment?
how did you know there were 6-8 others for light bars? Did they all drive out with one?
why does it look like they have full stock? what does that mean when prior stock was 0?

I got my beast in June of 24 and yes, I got the infamous email.

I have a model s plaid and had some issues a few months ago, the service manager knows me now (bring them donuts) so she told me. They were doing “6-8 light bars and cantrail recalls” she said.

this was the service center in charlotte nc
