I placed an order for a Non-Foundation Series Cybertruck on October 4th, just 2 hours after Tesla opened up ordering for long-time reservation holders. I was excited to see that it included Lifetime Premium Connectivity; something I had on my Model S 85D and on my first Model 3. I took a screenshot of the order details and while anxiously checking back to see if I could schedule delivery, I noticed they changed it. The Lifetime Premium Connectivity silently changed to Standard Connectivity. I understand if Tesla doesn't want to offer that for Non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks, but kinda shady to pull it from someone's order after they put down additional funds.

I feel like there is a legal take on this. I have seen examples of merchants accidently setting the sale value of TVs to $90 instead of $900. After they sell out online and notice they cancel the orders without issue. So I am guessing the merchant is covered on this... but still, that feels bad man.

I pointed it out via the chat (to which they have not responded yet). I have faith Tesla will make it right. I'll update the thread with results. I'm curious if any other folks who placed early orders noticed the same?

Yeah, uhh, that's not really great on Tesla's part. You can't sell something and have a 'display error'.

If it were something egregiously different, they could wriggle off, but something not egregious like this... Well, they're kinda sunk.

Make sure you get it.

I’m sure Tesla will make it right especially since you have screenshots to back up your claim.
Vehicle details in the app is not a purchase agreement or invoice.

That's not how that works.

You can't just display one thing and have something else on the invoice. While mistakes happen, it's fraud if you don't attempt to make it right.

I also ordered my non-fsd within 30 minutes of them opening it up and I saw the Lifetime Premium Connectivity and it was there for at least 24 hours and then it disappeared and went to standard. I did not take a screenshot however which I should have.

Well, I went into my email and looked and found my order confirmation, guess what it has? It also has it in my order agreement.

Does seem shady. A month after receiving my Foundation series loaded Beast with Premium Connectivity and Lifetime Slacker Radio they changed to LiveOne and now there’s a message that says my subscription ends Dec 1 2024. Shady, but still easily the best driving most capable most comfortable fastest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Would buy it again.
