I’m aware that the conventional wisdom is Tesla service sucks - and depending on where you live it may be more or less difficult to get service accomplished, - but I guess I haven’t had multiple issues that needed repair at once on any of my prior vehicles or maybe it’s because I’ve never had anything in five years of Tesla ownership that required more than a couple of hours in Service to repair, but to me this level of granularity in communicating the status of my repairs is unbelievable! Who does this?! Nobody!

Tesla: "To maintain service life, the battery pack should be stored at a state of charge (SOC) of 15 to 50%."

That level of granularity and communication exists only if the people at the service center actually do it. Most service centers don't.

My SC (West Covina, CA - formerly Pomona/Walnut) is awesome.

Not that I've had much use of them (2x 2020 MYLRs and now an FS AWD CT), but whenever I needed them, they do an excellent job.

Great comms, work is done right the first time, and the occasional freebee (like the rear CT rocker fairing that got broken by something on the road, they replaced it free of charge).

Just had a 2020 MYLR in for routine service: four new ties, check alignment, replace the A/C desiccant bag, wiper blades, cabin filters, and check the brake fluid. Brake fluid was fine.

Done by mid-day.

If you click on those drop down, it gives you each activity detail, Plano TX Service Center does it. I had like 7 items during my visit, it was listed as Waiting for Parts, next day morning I woke up tracked my vehicle it was inside the building, I saw status changed from Waiting for Parts to Work in Progress. 1 hour later I got text vehicle ready for pickup.

If a Service Center Representative doesn't smile, some people will take to forums and Social Media to complain about it.

But there are only rare instances like this where people post because they are happy.

Both my mobile service visits and service center visits have been really nice. Significantly nicer than going into an oily garage.

My CT is the 3rd Tesla I've owned and I've always had good experience with Tesla service because I go out of my way to show appreciation and patience - I even bring donuts when I take my cars in. Yes, there have been times when I needed to pay for a repair that I wanted covered but there have been more instances of goodwill, expedited service, loaner cars, free parts, and more because I make it a point to be good friends with the people that I need to service my car. Try this approach. You will be surprised at how well it works.

Once again I have to re-up this thread. I’m sorry that so many people have poor experiences with their service center but mine has been incredibly consistent with just awesome service and communication!!

I asked for two things on this visit:

1. Leave my cant rolls alone! They are rock solid and I don’t want those goofy looking dimpled replacements! My tech? “I agree with you!”

2. I don’t really want my light bar messed with since there’s nothing wrong with it either. You guys attached it perfectly so let’s just leave it alone. Also I think you or I will have to remove my roof rack to fix that and I don’t want that. Response? Cool!!

Meanwhile, my PCS was in my appointment never got moved from the original setting of today June 1. I mentioned that in addition to cleaning my front facing camera, my visor rail was falling down but I was afraid that they were going to blame it on me since I removed the mirror and put a carbon fiber overlay over it. He was somewhat offended that anybody at their shop would try to blame it on me. This is a known issue and they’re taking care of that as well!

The front counter people and mechanics at my shop are car people and I thank God for how professional, cooperative and effective they are!! Tesla needs this at every shop and I know it’s just not the case.

Also for those of you who worked out the hack to repair the sunvisor track/windshield harness bracket my technician told me that they have completely modified that part and that’s what they’re putting on my car I explained that I’ve been having the problem for a while and that some of you had figured out how to use a heat gun to fix this just wanted to make sure you all know that the part has been revised if your hack ever fails!
