There is still not a single Cybertruck on the used market for less than ~$85k.
Since non-Foundation CTs only became available in October, I would assume that most or all used CTs on the market are Foundation Series. The sellers may be assuming that they can still charge an FS premium over a new non-FS, which as you say starts at $80k.

Carfax has numerous used Cyberbeasts (presumably FS) at prices above ~130k, not convinced that is realistic when a new non-FS is $100k. Highest current asking price is 163.3k (reduced from 165k).

How nice of them. I give people days off as well. Well deserved for some, but a days off is always good. Reset, rengage, and deal with personal issues. Crazy how people report on stupid shit. Like give me something less boring than this.

Why do people keep using the I was 90000,00000 in line. That didn't mean shit. That calculator was not factual. And not by Tesla (which some people thought it was...)

Lots of stupid people preordered more than 5 like its a game. It's a 100$. It meant nothing.
Well in any case, you missed the point, I wasn't the first to order, Three days after the event. So my place being way down the line and on the east coast. So how ever crazy Tesla decided to release these,,, The fact remains, To expensive and hundred thousands dropped out.

The top end of listings isn't interesting to me - people can list for whatever they want, but it doesn't mean they'll sell. I'm sure a few dealers bought a Cybertruck just for the foot traffic and have no intention of actually selling it until people stop coming in to gawk at the shiny new toy. But if someone is dumb/lazy/rich enough to give them $160k for one, they won't turn down the money.

I watch for what they are actually selling at (the bottom 10% of listings) - listed by people motivated to sell.

I think Tesla learned its lesson a bit from the Model S plaid devaluation fiasco - especially because their margins are barely positive on Cybertruck. As I've mentioned before, I've monitored the used Cybertruck market carefully since introduction. There is no sign of overproduction or collapsing demand there.

There is still not a single Cybertruck on the used market for less than ~$85k. With the non-FS AWD coming in at $80k, this indicates that demand>supply for the time being; and Tesla doesn't seem to be in a rush to flood the market with trucks they are selling at a loss.
Thats $15K in depreciation within months. I picked up my non FS this Monday and saw 20 FS CTs on the same lot - unsold with no future owners. Tesla most definitely has FS demand problem. SA told me non FSes arrive and are sold/delivered. They don’t stick around.

While there can be several simultaneous reasons for slowing production, if only temporarily, the 80K vs. 50K starting price with no $7500 rebate plus the economy is definitely affecting demand. I wouldn't be surprised if one lever they pull is starting to make CTs for export. This means they will probably have to make some tweaks to the production line to accommodate other countries' requirements.
Seeing as the U.K. is already buying US LH drive MS and MX just add the CT to that list.

If the CT was offered in more countries, that would clearly increase demand. But there is also a second advantage: it would provide additional opportunities to sell the (particularly expensive) Foundation Series to early adopters.

CT sales in the US, Canada, and Mexico all started with the FS exclusively. Tesla would probably like to keep selling the FS if possible. The most obvious way to do would be to offer the CT to additional markets, with the FS leading the way.

Where ? ? I have a delivery center down the street. Some days it’s slam packed with every Tesla including CT FS 2 days later it looks like a ghost town. Could it be your Tesla CT came in with other owners CT FS? How long did you stay days? It’s a “delivery center “ not a dealers car lot. Most likely they are spoken for. They don’t just deliver 30 CTs to locations randomly. Besides that isn’t somthing you should wish for it would just mean your CT will eventually drop. Also name a car you ever drove off the lot that didn’t depreciate 5k resale at least before to hit the street ? Is it just you feel better for waiting for a non foundation so it’s justifying? ? why does it matter what someone ells spent a extra 15k on and may lose the value? Wasn’t your money anyway.

We know they absolutely do stack some with all cars, including CTs. The overflow lot in Charlotte is full of them and people are getting a VIN/delivery in a few days.

Plus there are pictures of lots with "I'm available" for CTs randomly around the US. They aren't listed on inventory because they are getting enough orders to empty the CTs (outside of FS).

Tesla ramped up inventory at the beginning of Q4.

These threads always crack me up. It seems like a major goal to some to hope pray wish shove down our throats that the CT is depreciating o no’s what will we do run for the hills ? if it went to zero tomorrow who cares? I like my FS! I never bought a new car thinking about resale value. Classic car yes new car no! Why is it just such a hell bent goal to make sure they are right about the CT price dropping or demand dwindling! What’s the motivation for them? Let’s be honest most pushing that narrative hate Elon , don’t own one don’t want one and don’t like them or trying to justify to random strangers why they didn’t drop the extra on a FS. Some waiting for the 60k version to come out hating on the price. When if the 60k if ever comes out it’s just another truck at that point and who wants just another truck ? I bet if it took 5 years for the price to drop and a cheaper version to come out the same people will come here and say “I told you so” ?

lol I had a co worker today tell me “your Cybertruck will be worth a lot now” “they stopped making them. Shut down the lines” I just shook my head lol. Had a different co worker say the same thing when foundation series ended.

Tesla had an opportunity to charge an "early adopter" premium, and they made good use of it. But it may be hard to keep selling the early adopter premium to today's customers -- who are not early adopters.

Not convinced that prospective CT buyers will want to pay an "early adopter" premium, when it's too late to be an early adopter.
I agree but
If I had a Cristal ball and knew now about the NFS coming out. I would do EXACTLY the same thing! I’ve had my truck for nearly 6 months already Well worth not waiting! Well worth the extra money and I don’t care what they are going for now or if 20 of them are on a used lot ?
