I ordered the same day (Oct 22) and got a VIN the same day but I'm in Austin, I had to stall because I'm just waiting on my title to come in from the lender as I had just paid it off a week before. The Tesla sales support really sucks because no one responds in the app or on the phones and you have to drive to the store to get some answers...Does anyone know how long it takes to get a vin? I ordered about 2 weeks ago. 10/22/24 to be exact. Still no vin.
As someone else said if you’re unable to get them to connect with you via electronic means then definitely if you can just show up at a service center and someone will help you. Then make that person your contact from then on don’t leave without getting there cell number which I have found is the best way to communicate with Tesla.Great, thanks for the updates. I’m in the Bay Area, Cali. So I’m assuming there’s a lot of orders around here lol
Once a vehicle is shipped to a particular location, it is very unlikely that Tesla will sell it anywhere else.Once you do, do us a favor and ask them why they don’t simply match you with one of the hundreds of vehicles that reliable sources on this forum tell us are sitting around with signs on them begging someone to “please take me.”
you got a sales advisor? I got one 4.5 years ago for model 3, but the chat has absolutely been like pulling teeth buying the Cybertruck. I have to send 2 or 3 messages before someone responds.Varies wildly, both based on (among other variables) your location and the lifecycle of the vehicle. I.e. where it is in terms of production ramp up.
If you listen to some folks on this forum, Tesla ought to be able to match you with a vehicle instantly because they’ve got untold numbers sitting around with nobody wanting to buy them.
Your sales advisor is your friend. Send a text in the app or call Tesla make contact with an advisor get their name cell phone number and hurry up and wait.
