Tesla Wall Connector for CyberTruck -- get Gen 3 now or wait for Gen 4?

My question is, do you think it is ok to get the Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 now for the CyberTruck or is it better to wait closer to launch to see if a Tesla Wall Connector Gen 4 is released?

we have 2 gen 3’s and 1 gen 2 wall connectors hooked up for our current cars… with that being said, I would not suggest you to buy one until we get the charging capability of the truck.

As a customer of Austin Energy, I can get a 50% rebate from the utility on a EVSE installation. However, applicants must first own an EV (they ask for the VIN lol).

I'll start shopping for installers once production starts, and pull the trigger when Tesla gives me a VIN.

It depends if you are in a construction or remodeling phase now. If yes, then it makes sense to add the Wall Connector now.

If you are not then there is no hurry to add one now as we are around a year out from the CT production ramp where early reservation holders start getting their trucks. (yes I know that initial production will likely start this summer but it will be a slow ramp before any meaningful production is met)

Here are also a couple of qualifying questions for you.
1) How early of a reservation do you have?
2) Which version are you interested in buying?

Since we do not know for sure which version will be at launch, the version you are wanting could possibly be pushed out until later in 2024 or further beyond.
