Anyone notice these people react in herds?

- First it was the middle fingering the rear camera when parked

- then it was thumbs down

- Now I’m noticing that people want to point and laugh hysterically while they’re in their cars.

Where are they getting their instructions from to all act same or are they just brain dead sheep that have no idea how to critically think?

Feels like the hate is actually dying down a little, hopefully.

oh it’s died down significantly as more trucks are getting sold but it’s just weird how their behavior seems to be the same. It’s like a virus that hit its last wave of the most deranged people.

I live in the province of Québec in Canada so maybe the protest is more 'polite' here!

Just yesterday I was at a museum in Ottawa, Ontario. When I came back to the CT I had 14 sentry events (but no alarm). After looking them up, I had only 5-6 real events spanning over a few recordings. Among them was 2 dads raising up their kids to see inside, one older gentlemen walking around a few times a taking pauses along the way and one girl leaning on the hood and having someone else take a picture of her.

It has only been 2 weeks since I've taken delivery of a Foundation AWD but so far I've had mostly thumbs ups and curious people and only one person telling me I'm his number 1 with his middle finger (as he drove by in a lifted pickup with ultra low profile tires which was hilarious to me).

This is not my first pickup, I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax which died last fall. Most people I know respect my choice because they know I would not have made a giant compromise from my previous truck just to get it.

It’s learned behavior through social media. It’s unhappy people who don’t have their affairs in order in some way shape or form.

Pointing at and pretending to laugh at someone to try and make them feel bad is bottom of the barrel human behavior.

I have noticed it’s died down quite a bit. Whining toddlers eventually tire themselves out.

It really comes down to unhappy people. They feel it makes them bigger in the moment. I also think it's a combo of 'truck guys' hating the style and now another breed, the Elon haters. Double whammy for the moment. It all will pass in time. I tell my son every time we're in the truck, you have to have thick skin to drive it. It still makes me happy every time I jump in it and that's all that matters. When you break it all down, it's truly is an amazing vehicle. - the power, steering, the ride, tech, an auto tonneau... what?!, FSD, etc... Sure, there are some kinks to figure out but we all knew when buying something so different. Keep the positive vibes out there.

People suck! Haters gonna hate.

I get it all, thumbs down, middle finger, point and laugh.

Here is what I noticed... picked up my Cyberbeast Nov '24, got nothing but smiles and thumbs up. Never anything negative. Then Elon and DOGE. Everything changed. Smiles and thumbs up went to thumbs down and middle finger.

However, since Elon not making press everyday with DOGE, I'm thankfully noticing the hate die down.

Yes, it's definitely herd behavior. I've run across several reddit threads on the subject of what to do when you see a Cybertruck. The consensus seems to be that thumbs down and pointing and laughing crush the souls of Cybertruck drivers.

Note that most responses in the thread are actually sane. Good on them.

interesting. I haven't gotten anything in the Orlando area in a really long time. Never seen the point and laugh at all.

I think many out there are sheep in a sheep choir, just echoing a chorus of what they think others are expressing. Yet others might be genuinely unaccustomed to it but then temper their perceptions as they see more and more Cybertrucks on the road over time.

I have some mixed (maybe a little selfish) feelings about perceptions of the Cybertruck - on one hand I think people should be more independent thinkers and evaluate the CT for themselves and I want the CT to scale as successfully as the economic recovery will allow it to over the coming years - but on the other hand I'm also Ok with sheep being oblivious to the Cybertruck substance and driving experience so that for a longer time I'll be one of the few that own one and then the sheep will keep on being the 'have nots'. From that perspective I'm at the point where I don't need to convince anyone, because those who buy the CT based on logic and substance instead of narratives, are the kind of people I'll likely get along with and relate to better anyway.

But I think the driving experience and ride from the inside of the Cybertruck with all of Tesla's features is unmatched, and I bet most of the sheep out there hating on it have never taken one for a test drive or ever rode in one - so they are expressing from peer narratives, propaganda, and hearsay - and that's why they're sheep.

End of the day I could care less what the sheep are brain washed into thinking. I also have had similar animosity from other drivers toward me when in my Model 3.
