Last week, while charging, the hood opened up. I thought I might have done it, but only because it was the simplest explanation.
BAHHH!
Today, while hosing off the truck from the tree crap, I noticed the windows were in vent mode, they open about 2-3 inches. I lock the truck with my phone, the windows closed and I continue hosing it off. Then, the tonneau cover opens...then the tailgate opens, then the frunk opens. WTF! Its possesed? Am I hitting the buttons while the phone is in my pocket? Take the phone out and the screen is blank, it is still locked.
To make a long story shorter, I go to tesla, just to see if they have had any issues like this, and they suggest a soft reset. I did that when I got home and will see what happens tomorrow. They did mention the rear switch panel issues but said they just stop working...and that wouldn't open the frunk.

To say I am bummed is an understatement. Just hope this is something simple that fixes itself. I do not want to be without my truck.

Are you sure your phone, being in your pocket, wasn't unlocking your truck via proximity?

Like, try locking it and keeping the phone away and then dancing around it?

-Crissa
it might have unlocked it but would not open everything up, including the frunk.

my model 3 vented one window the other night. Just decided to open the window 3 inches overnight for some reason. its happened one other time a year ago. bizarre glitch. I really wish Tesla would let us consumers see the vehicle logs, I know the car knows when the window was opened.

Did you let your kids pair their phones? I think you’re being punk’d
If I had kids I couldn't afford the truck!

You can see logs of errors in service mode.

No, true. But wet can hit the buttons - although I haven't heard anyone else hitting the frunk button? Or the windows?

Windows can go to a set point when a Tesla unlocks, tho.

Aw, maaaaan. New irrational fear unlocked. I live in rain country. The last thing I do before leaving my car is make sure the windows are up. Every time.

It'd bum me out to come out to the truck one morning and find it with half an inch of water sloshing around ...

I have had ongoing issues with my Modrl Y windows deciding to stay open. I have recalibrated them many times, had Tesla come look at them, and it continues to happen. Maybe the truck is the same.

I accidentally hit the “vent” control in the app, so it sent me a notification “hey your windows are still open” about a half hour after the thunderstorm started ?

There was only minor water intrusion. Just a spritz
