Completely by chance I discovered that the rear view mirror is perfectly placed to monitor a front-facing child seat

As a parent this is more than worth the mirror's loss with the tonneau closed. I can clearly see what my 3-year old is doing. He's also a lot happier being able to make eye contact with me while driving

I couldn't agree more! I have mine focused right on where my kids sit in the back seat. I was going to remove it but really like being able to keep an eye on them

Well, I'm not a parent. Just a DINK(Double Income No Kids) with my wife. We joked the first day we got the truck that the mirror was worthless so me, being a guy with a smoking hot wife... Turned the mirror to focus on the two girls...
