You guys might've brought this up already. I've been out of the loop a bit. But just in case.

How many times have I posted this is how you get out in an emergency? Laminated windows are meant to stop stuff from coming in, not out. And once broken, they're flexible.

There is no window that will stop a determined thief.

Why would they? Less than $950 stolen and it’s a misdemeanor.

That's not how that works.

If they get spotted more than once, it's no longer a misdemeanor.

I personally love it. I can see out it you just can’t see in it. It’s a little more difficult at night. But you have cameras anyways.

Questions:

1) Sentry mode doesn't have audio, so my question is did the alarm go off? It definitely should have.
2) I wonder what the thief got out of the deal? Someone's sunglasses maybe? Definitely couldn't steal the truck.

until Sentry mode uses AI to analyse what it sees it won't catch this, even with a glass break sensor.

I like this security idea. If you have installed this can you please explain how this could work for the CT? Also how can it be disabled before entering the vehicle? Or is this just for laughs?

It was just a joke. I would not want to be responsible for a death if someone with a pace-maker happened to brush against my truck.

Door, tailgate and frunk. I do agree that Tesla should update the Alarm to include window and Sentry Mode to include an immediate notification to your phone of Sentry being triggered so I can see what is going on?

My model s 2022 notified me when someone put a tow sticker on my car (new signs that hadn't been there for 10 years). Wish CT would .-.

• A locked door is opened

• The powered front trunk is opened

When your vehicle detects this, the siren sounds, headlights and turn signals flash, and you receive a notification on your mobile app that the security alarm is triggered. To deactivate the alarm, press any button on the mobile app or tap your key card against the card reader located on the driver's side door pillar."

I assume this is for the security system, but perhaps it is not yet activated?

Wow that was fast. Absolutely insane that the alarm didn’t go off. Sentry Mode for the fail.

I've been wondering what exactly sets the alarm off or for the sentry mode to alert your phone... This past Sunday when I got back to my truck I had a sentry alert that showed a family pulling up and their kid sprinted out the back towards the truck when he spotted it. Without hesitation he jumped on the back bumper and started playing with the cover buttons and my phone didn't alert me nor did it seem like the alarm went off.. I know it's harmless but I'm annoyed at the parents for not teaching their kid discipline and that the truck didn't react... Anyone got a "Protect Summer" sound file I can use for the sentry mode/lock sound effect? =]

I would hope future Sentry Updates would include notices to my phone it had been triggered. Then I could look at what is happening around 007 in real time.
