Has anyone downloaded / subscribed to the Tessie app? Expensive but has some great features (most of which I can’t figure out why Tesla doesn’t include them in their own app). Particularly interested in the feature that sends a real-time alert when sentry is active and someone messes with the truck.

I have it and enjoy it. Here's what I like about it:
1. It tracks your battery degradation over time and shows you where you are relative to others who own the same model.
2. Better energy use stats than Tesla native app, making it nice to accurately calculate cost per mile.
3. As noted above, it gives you instant Sentry notifications, allowing you to quickly look at your cameras to see what's going on.

I too can vouch for Tessie. They update frequently, the sentry movement alerts are a welcome addition (ALL movement, not just sentry ALERT level movement).
The analytics are great to dive into, they just added tracking FSD usage during drives. Very cool break downs.
And of course, having Apple Watch as a backup key is nice piece of mind.

Feels free to use my referral for a month trial (twice as long as usual). If you don’t like it, just cancel before it starts the subscription:

I bought lifetime and don’t regret it.

I tried using Tessie and found that it was causing problems with my PhoneKey. The PhoneKey would disconnect and I needed to stop and restart bluetooth to get it to connect again. Since I un-installed Tessie I haven't had a single issue. Maybe it was something with the way I had it configured or maybe it's my phone (Pixel 9 Pro XL), I don't know. I would like to be able to use it, but right now I can't.

I was about to say I don't have any issues like that on my 9 pro fold but I don't have phone key! Lol #keyfobFTW

I love Tessie though, between Alexa controls, battery degradation info and automations its an awesome tool.

On weekends I have it set me to 90% and on weekdays it charges me to 80

Pretty much what everyone above said. Enjoying the app and I mainly got it for the watch integration.

I just started trying it out. I was most interested in the Sentry notifications. But the Movement and Alarms settings have a warning that says "Enable Direct Telemetry". Can't figure out how to get rid of this. Using an Android but I don't see those settings anywhere.

Is Tessie still a great app today? I have the Tesla app on my watch and iPhone shortcuts allows me to ask Siri to perform all types of tasks.

What else does Tessie offer that the improved Tesla app does not provide?

Tessie, Stats, and some other 3rd-party apps provide explicit battery health information. The OEM Tesla app doesn't give us anything like that (the cynical among us might say for obvious reasons).

But the singular reason I use Tessie (and Stats) is because they both provide pack temperature. For anyone wishing to actively manage the health of their battery, that's a critical piece of telemetry.

As I understand it, the Tessie app tells ya the condition of the battery, but then what can ya do about it without a service visit? It seems it would be more useful after several years of active service when the battery has quite a bit more depletion.
