I was wondering if all owners could post screenshots of the Tessie app battery health information. It calculates "real" battery capacity based on fleet average, for example, my 2018 model S is supposed to come with a 100 kW battery, but Tessie reports that the fleet average for my model is actually 97.7, not sure if that has to do with the reserve that Tesla blocks out. It also has calculations on maximum achievable range which I find very accurate, it is based on calculations of driving style and it accesses the battery management system. For example, for my 2018 model S, it says that I have a maximum achievable range of 308 mi, which I think is pretty accurate, that's how much I usually get on road trips driving 65-70, for my wife's model X. It says it has a maximum achievable range of 265 which I think is pretty accurate as well based on what we have seen on road trips.

Thanks

Does the Model 3 or Y have this info on the app? I can’t find it. Maybe it is just S/X info?

Wow! That is totally different from the app I have. My Tesla M3 app doesn't have near that much info. Wonder if there is another app Tesla makes. I have heard about 3rd party apps, but I have not used them. Thanks for the info!

I hope I made it clear on my first message, the app name is Tessie, I think there's a $50 yearly subscription, youi use your regular tesla login and that's it.

it does put things into perspective pertaining to life of the battery. battery 1500 cycles, 4 years or approx 250k miles. Wonder how much it will cost to replace battery in 5 years? I plan on keeping the Truck for as long as I can.. retiring in 4 years.

When I read about cycles I like to show this example of what it means when you do smaller ranges of cycles (ie. 30%-70%)
>>>>>>>>
From the following article on batteries "similar" to what Tesla is using.

Divide those number of cycles by 365 or 300 or whatever number of days per year you want. Pretty long.

"500 cycles? But that’s (relatively) low! Yes. But what is not shown on the spec sheet is that when you partially charge and discharge, degradation of the battery capacity is reduced. Thus, you can do over
40 000 charge/discharge cycles when going from 30% to 70% only. Or over
35 000 charge/discharge cycles from 20% to 80%;
28 000 cycles from 10% to 90%;
15 000 cycles from 8% to 92%,
07 500 cylces from 6% to 94%, and the capacity reduction goes faster and faster, finally reaching
00 500 cycles when recharging from 0% to 100%."

TeslaFI.COM (r-link) has some similar battery monitor graphing and they show a comparison line to similar vehicles (miles, trim, etc).

good to know. thanks for the data. makes me feel a bit better as I'll be more likely in the 20 to 80% range and when retired won't be as much. What about when the truck is just sitting in garage? Keep it on charger at 70% maintenance? I might not use the truck for a week or so some months.

70% is what I use.
My kids use 70% on one and 80% on the other that has a very long commute.

Prof Jeff Dahn (link) is well known.

Has anyone had any luck getting Tessie battery health info on their CT? After over a week including many charges over 5 kwhr, it says not enough data.

I think a lot of us plan on keeping the truck for a long time.
For me personally I can't afford to not keep it for 10 years and 300,000+ miles

Elon has said repeatedly that these should be million mile vehicles with the packs lasting half a million miles with minimal degradation, so I hope that is the case.

100 percent!! me too. my retirement doesn't have 2 more cybertrucks in the books. I plan on living to 100 and still driving my truck. LOL
