That looks correct- mine still leaks after the fix, but not enough that I care anymore.
I have no foam strip at all . lol . I mentioned this to SC at the second visit to fix the leak There is only a rubber strip along the removable piece.

My October build 2024 AWD was bone dry from the factory. My 2025 CB leaks like crazy. If I pour a cup of water, half the cup goes in the front of the bed, and the other half goes in the bottom of the bed. Same thing after the extra slat.
My impression on this after reading multiple threads on this and DIY fixes is Tesla can’t correct this problem . Personallly for me despite other issues this is the biggest problem . To many times I have water saturated luggage etc . Totally unacceptable.

I just went out and took a picture of mine. This is also what I noticed on several other new ones. It is a little hard to see from the picture, but the seal is not laying in there correctly. I haven't had it apart yet, but based on the video, it just seems like it takes some time to do correctly. Maybe that is why they don't want to really deal with it. Both the supervisor and the tech seemed aware of the DIY Youtube fix.

Actually, not first run, my

1. Maybe, but still raises interesting concerns. If you don’t see that, perhaps you are more biased.

2. Sounds like your investing skills are right up their with your being objective skillset

3. Swell for you, I owned BOTH a 2024 and 2025… 2025 had more issues.

4. Are we dating forum police guy? Ironically, you saying that makes you look like a snowflake.
My 2025 has zero issues and I’m also unusually lucky so perhaps I affect the truck! 🤣🙋🏻‍♂️😉

I wonder if this part of the vehicle's assembly, when in stalled to spec, works really well. But the actual process of installing it makes it very difficult to install to spec.

"Worn-out" foam strips is just silly when you are talking about a new vehicle. "A water test was conducted", lol, mine said that too. Must of been testing with water mist.

Got my first Tesla in 2016. I bought FSD in 2018 on my early Model 3, got to use the beta for the first time in Oct 2021 - and that software was pretty scary, still have my Model 3 with FSD, I had it drive me yesterday and it did great.
My CT will be a year old next week, FSD is a little better in my CT. But, I'd really like to have dumb summon. Looking forward to CT FSD with reverse, hopefully 2026.

Tesla service can suck, took both my model S's in way too many times to count. But never had to take in the CT (I suppose that recall will require a visit at some point). The M3 did have a few minor issues, but no issues with service on that car - just the S.

There's certainly some truth to the Futurism story - but it's obviously a hit piece from someone with an Elon axe to grind. California is not a Tesla friendly place - even though there are shed tons of them here. I've had in-laws that could not be seen driving/owning a Telsa for fear of losing their job. Stupid politics.

Anyhow, it's clear to me that the tesla taxi is coming and regulators are just dragging their heels. Everyone knows the robots are safer - even now - but we'd rather have 30K people die on the roads, each year, by human mistakes than 1 toddler getting ran over by a robotaxi. The regulators are having a tough time swallowing that pill. I'm sure Dan will never accept that pill, he'd kill the 30K every time.

It will be interesting to see which is the first State to allow unsupervised FSD, and how long it takes for the government stats to reflect that their safety with respect to human drivers. I could imagine it taking years before soccer mom's are shamed into having the robot drive the kids because the moms are too dangerous behind the wheel. I'm sure we've all heard at least a few news stories where mom killed either their own kid or someone else's while on the school run.

We used to think FSD was hard because of the long tail of issues. Turns out, regulator pussies might be the biggest hurdle. Tesla has said they'd jump through all the regulator hoops - whatever they are - so robotaxi is coming, we've just got to be patient.

As for HW3 FSD: seems to me the camera resolution isn't good enough to read signs - so will never be on par with HW4 without an upgrade. I also suspect it'll be more cost efficient for tesla to do some sort of hardware upgrade than spend the effort pouring the tech into the older hardware (like mapping the hard to read signs).

That is crazy, I couldn't imagine getting fired over my car type. Especially since the political party of Tesla seems to have 180'd over the years.

The regulations are nuts. There was a startup named Locomation that failed last year in the autonomous trucking sector:

"Autonomous Relay Convoy" (ARC) system is a two-truck, human-guided autonomous convoy designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the trucking industry. It allows one driver to operate a lead truck while a second driver rests in a following, autonomously driven truck. This system aims to address the limitations of both fully autonomous and traditional trucking, offering a mid-term solution for long-haul routes.

I think you're right, the world just isn't ready for the progress when it comes to big autonomous vehicles. The politicians act accordingly.

Is that seal attached to the window glass or the removable appliqué

Tesla can't be bothered to fix the problem. Big difference.

If you don't have the cybertent (meaning, don't have need to remove the aeroflap), $20 and 10 minutes will most likely fix your leak.

If you watch this video and jump to about 6:55 you can see it is part of the removable appliqué

I have the seal on removal appliqué but absolutely nothing on the window side . So that’s the problem my guess .
