Urander Bed Cap Ideas & Setups

So like deployable legs that stand in the bed to support the portion of the tent where there isn't rack? Like a tall version of the Tesla Cybertent?
Or detachable cross bars for the rear two positions?

Its tough what many people want i find including myself is the look of the Mars rack with all the urander accessories if that makes sense. I for one do not like the look of a full rack or a cap on the CT. So its finding that happy medium of something that keeps the CTs shape and add that accessory adaptation for those who want a work truck and a camping truck aswell but not have to deal with an entire rack or cap. I like Uranders awnings and tents but would never purchase a full rack if that makes sense because i dont think based on my taste it looks good . And thats just me the product is quality and nothing against them its just really subjective taste here and finding that medium.

If you go to any overland expo or off-road trail, you’ll notice most ICE trucks are running full racks or bed caps. That’s because for week-long trips, storage becomes the priority.

A bed cap essentially doubles your usable space: off-road gear, spare tires, a fridge and freezer, cooking setup, water tanks, water heater, shower tent, and a couple of EcoFlow 4kW batteries. The longer roof also gives you room for more solar panels, and you can even run a 11kw portable generator as a range extender for multi-day trips where superchargers aren’t nearby.

It’s a solid setup for moderate to hardcore overlanding, and works great for fleet and work use too.

We know keeping the Cybertruck’s unique look is your top priority. If you only camp occasionally and don’t need the extra space, the CyberTent is a solid option. It keeps the full Cybertruck design intact and comes with a rear awning as well.

I would like this as well. I have a hitch tent but would like to use an awning. theres a guy on the forum that has no cap, but mcaguyver’ed a deployable “awning rack” that allows him to use a 360 degree awning but have his truck bed open to the sky. it hinges at the top hardpoint, and has deployable legs to hold the awning rack parallel to the truck bed.

Quick update on this setup. The owner picked up two small single mattresses from Amazon. When not in use, they fold into a couch, and once you unload the camper gear, they easily convert into a full mattress.
